It seems at times that Dana calls plays for the team he wants, not the team he has.

Our team was good enough to beat KSU by a couple of scores, but the play calling just didn't make sense to me. Skyler was obviously hobbled. When we go to an empty backfield on third and short, everyone in the country knows we're going to run a qb draw 90% of the time. Why not put Wellman and Smallwood in the backfield and at least give ourselves a chance?

Is Dana the coach to get us 8-10 wins a year, consistently? Probably not.

I have never bought the "End of Season Collapse" Theory. Many times it is more the make up of the schedule than anything else. Like Ohio State this year - the only two good teams on their schedule were in games 11 & 12.

WVU had more 1st downs, more rushing and passing yards, and less turnovers..K-ST had a QB who had twice as many receiving yards as he did passing yards entering the game..I don't see one skill player on K-ST's offense cracking our two deep on the depth chart..it was disgusting.

Except for the fact that 7 of our 8 games against Kansas and Iowa St have come during the late portions of the schedules.

Interesting point. DH seemed to play to the team's strength during the last part of the season, but then regresses when push comes to shove. Maybe he only knows one way to coach! LOL
