I went over and looked at the titles to the threads on the spirit recruiting boardto see if they are still melting down aftermondays events. Some things that I found include the following. They have Mullen taking the Penn St. job when jopa retires/passes. They are trying to organize and get Bo Bounds off the air. They are excited that Brassell (they refer to him as snoop by the way) is going to the bears/auburn game. Melvin is mentioned quite often. And alot of discussion about recruiting at SP in general. The whiney bitches are getting cranked up again. I might have to start a PI business soon.

probably where they got the idea. Some dude from Rivals was discussing whether this was Paterno's last year and suggested several names, including Mullen. Most Spirit posters and Gene's Pagers should be euthanized with a joeblade.
For the record, I think Mullen is proving he is a good coach, expect much more of this talk if you continue to win. And start saving up the bucks, he will use the rumors for pay raises this year and likely next. All coaches do it.

Way to put us in our place there. It's been hard to watch UM be so much of a coaching factory up there. I mean it's exciting to see fired UM coaches go on to be position coaches in the Pac 10, other coaches have to beat off all his other offers to coach in what.. Better than Vaught. Ole Miss fans know this. Their younger fans don't appreciate that fact but the older (30's on up) do. Mullen may prove to be similar for MSU fans. I would like to think he would be part of a Frank Beamer program builder thing but the more likely scenario is Tubberville like.
I simply stated that Mullen was a good coach and if he continues to win, there will be a need for State to up the ante. I am not sure how that evolved into a discussion of the quality of our former coaches.
And yes, I was and am a Tuberville fan. I got to know him while he was at Ole Miss and I liked him. I didn't like the way he left, but unlike Hogville, I have never stalked an AU or TT message board.
