Not a knock on anyone, just an observation. The point here is this shows just how difficult it is to win a title. It's not just talent and coaching. It is so much more than that everything from who someone draws to who gets sick/injured to the way the ball bounces.

That said congrats to both teams eliminated today. Beamer will have them right back next year. Galax has built a program and should be back in the thick of things as well.

As for the two teams left. Wow. What performances today. You really are the two no doubt best teams in the state and you have EARNED that right. In this moment, in this season of life no one will be able to take that away from you. Congrats on making it this far and always remember how hard you worked to get here!

I will have to agree with you . Appo #1 , Gooch #2 , Rich #3 , SD #4 . SD was happy just to get a win over Riverheads ! From what I read in the paper they were satisfied with their season before the Richlands game . Who lets the press talk to their kids two games from the State game . A lack of focus , and a lesson learned !
