Going to be a lot of guys get much smaller, recover from injury much slower, or just get caught.

Yep

If you want to make the game much less violent this is the way to do it

Unthought it was because the players didn't want to submit to blood tests

Which I think is the only way to detect it

From what I've read in the past: Player's Union say

1/100

NFL research: 1/10,000

My thoughts too.

I also stand by my idea to have weight limits for players at various positions. Most other contact sports have weight limits or weight classes for a reason.

yeah i think this is the best route for the NFL. i always roll my eyes when smashmouth football coaches like saban make comments about the no huddle spread offenses leading to injuries while they are trotting out 6'4" 275 lb LBs that run 4.5 40s and OL that are 6'8" 350 lbs with 10% body fat.

I agree with you both about HGH and steroid testing's positive impact on the game, but I disagree with weight limits. If a player is able to attain a high weight through natural methods, and still able to perform the cardiovascular exercise necessary to be effective, they should be allowed to play at said weight. I think without the benefits of steroids and HGH, you'll see players naturally come down in weight. It's incredibly tough to keep a high weight while burning as many calories as these guys do through S&C.
