No matter what you think of the skool, those Oak trees were part of their tradition and heritage. Now, they'll be double-tight security around things people used to walk through (Toomer's trees, the Grove, the Georgia Hedges, etc.).

As for "they deserve it because Shug Jordan cried like a little girl about the Cowbells" crowd: it's like I tell my students- just because someone does something you don't like, it's NOT an excuse to hit them back.

I certainly don't condone the action of the guykilling the trees.He should be arrested. I feel bad for the owner of the store. I feel bad for the guy selling thetoilet paper trying to make a living. I even feelbad for the trees. But despite the fact that it was WAY beyond the line,I don't give the first rip about the feelings any Auburn fan has about losing their tradition.
