we looked to be an extremely talented basketball team that lacks significant coaching...

how do you explain playing so flat at home? I mean Akron ran us out of the gym.
Then we go to MSG and light that place on fire with a 31-9 run then just coast for a 9 point win.

to me it just had that feel of the team going this prime-time in MSG we won't be embarrassed ...leeegggggoooo!
kinda like those same feels as those great tourney runs, when it just felt like the teams were like ok if we are going to do this we need to do it on our on.

In reality, it was only one game, but to see this talent ...really no telling how good we could be.

and then Southern lost...

We have Talent to make an run to the Elite 8 for sure, but will we do it... I really hope we play well tonight and get another Big OOC win...

which is what makes our underwhelming effort against Akron that much more perplexing.

When we took a 22 pt lead in the first half, I was thinking that it was only a matter of time before it would be a single digit lead and I was fully expecting to have to sweat it out. However, each time A&M made a run, our guys got it together and extended the lead again. Very nice game and I guess Stans actually wasn't blowing smoke when said that Bryant had really improved. D Smith looks like he's gonna be a player also. He really pushed it when Bost came out, and it's going to be nice having a capable backup PG.
