I don't recall any Rebel fans on here breaking down Croom's every word on signing day.

I just wondered over to Nafoom to see their thoughts on their recruiting class, and it was rare to actually find a post about Ole Miss. There was one about which way your Toilet Paper sits on your roller though. That's fascinating.

in state rival will do that to you. Having said that, I'm going against conventional wisdom a bit and waiting until Coach Mullen has a winning season before I'm convinced.

Yes, we made fun of Croom also, along with many people here. The same can be said about Orgeron.

but I remember making some of the same comments when people were making fun of Orgeron.

I said that people wouldn't be making comments like that about him if they weren't afraid of what he could do, at least on the recruiting trail.

Turns out, they were just laughing at us. It's not always fear that drives people to make fun of someone. Sometimes it's things like "building a fence around Mississippi and Memphis" or a funny nickname that isn't really that funny.

Not that I want to talk smack about prior seasons, but I have heard the most smack about any Egg Bowl this go around. Is this how we sounded under Orgeron? Or worse?

it united our entire fanbase to see that Croom was not in any shape or form prepared to lead our program. So to answer your question the 45-0 was the beginning (sp) of the rest of MSU's football life.

I have a few surgeons i call on who are mostly mississippi fans, and they all say the same thing about mullen....that he is the dark horse in the sec west.....all of this being a 180 when they laughed in my face when we had crooms.....i recently went down and did surgery with a doctor in lafayette, la who is the local alumni chapter lsu president (whatever you call that) and they all mention what mullen is doing at msu.......arkansas residency doctors at our last CE event mention that Mullen wont last 3 years at MSU bc of the overall job he is doing bc he will be hired away....

if that doesnt say respect for what he is doing, then nothing does.......dont let the few rebel homos who come over here, only to respect msu just enough to not get banned, and to defend their 'almighty' rebels tell you different......

You same fans that 'lolz!1!!' at that thinking it causes fear must put Laney Kiffin on a pedestal for all the douchebaggy things he said this year. There's no difference. You think South Carolina was afraid of Tennessee because "if a kid graduates from South Carolina he'll just be pumping gas for the rest of his life?" Nope. They (and the rest of the conference) laughed at him for being a douchebag and although the Tennessee fans circlejerked each other over it, the rest of the world flooded the Tennessee boards laughing at them.

Dan is the Mayun in my book but the sophomoric stuff just makes you bang your head. Its why the mods have it filtered here. To think otherwise is pure lunacy.

Dan Mullen definitely doesnt frighten us. The only reason we talk **** about Mullen unlike with Croom is because Mullen runs his damn mouth way too much and it is getting him nowhere. All this stuff about "T.S.U.N"...sorry Dan but T.S.U.N is 9-4 the past two years with 2 CB championships compared to your 5-7. State fans dont realize that Dan Mullet looks like a fool by talking about "dominating" in state recruiting. We could really care less. We will just take our top players from MS and our 14th ranked recruiting class the past two years (scout.com) and you can keep getting your 2-3* MS recruits.

The last thing im going to say is go watch both Mullens and Nutt's PC from today (didnt watch all of mullens but some of it). Mullen took several "shots" at us that reminded me of how we all acted in 3rd grade. Then watch Nutt when his final question was if he increased his recruiting intensity because of Dan Mullen wanting to "dominate" MS recruiting. Nutt smiled and laughed, looked around the room, and said "....no." It got a pretty big laugh from all the reporters.

He called you T.S.U.N.... SO WHAT? He's done that since he's been here. If Mullen wants to take shots at a rival then so be it. He certainly backed it up, and for the next year at least, he has the right to take shots all he wants to. But still, Mullen was very professional, and talked up his class just like everybody else in the country did. Heck, Furman's head coach was out there somewhere talking about how great of a recruiting class they had this year. There's nothing unprofessional about anything he said.

bigugly you just named your 5 best recruits lol...i can play that game too. Dorsey 4* (5* on scout), Sanders 4*, Jackson 4*, Thompson 4*, Thomas 4*, Martin 4*, Mackey 4*, Jones 4*.

You can not seriously believe that State "dominated" us in recruiting when they are ranked 38th and Ole Miss is ranked 14th. I could seriously care less about who has more recruits from Mississippi. I care about who has the better players and that is undoubtedly Ole Miss and anyone who argues that is in denial.

You were saying that all we got were 2 and 3 star mississippi recruits, and he simply pointed out that we had 5 4 star recruits from right here in the Magnolia State. Ole Miss beat state in recruiting, which I would expect after 2 straight Cotton Bowls and State hasn't had a winning season. Congratulations. Oh, and, LEARN HOW TO REPLY!

Ok excuse me. State signed one 1*, twelve 2*. That doesnt sound like dominating to me. Another interesting thing I read earlier - exactly half of msu's recruits didnt receive an offer from another BCS school. So half of your recruits chose state over places like Arkansas State, Memphis, Troy, etc.
