Please. I beg of you. Most on here are either (A) disappointed or (B) think that this is a respectable class, but could have/should have been better. Nobody thinks we dominated anything (other than the egg bowl) In case you forgot, 41-27

Excuse me guys I apologize. No one HERE says you dominated anything but I was just so used to hearing Mullen talk about dominating recruiting and i just assumed every state fan agreed with their head coach.

From the Clarion-Ledger:
Doing the math on this signing class, it appears as if State fared
quite well within the borders of Mississippi, which has long been
Mullen’s stated goal. At The Clarion-Ledger, we have two ways
to measure the top recruits in the state: Our Dandy Dozen, which comes
out before the season, and our Ten Most Wanted recruits, which comes
out after the season. State signed four of the Ten Most Wanted, most of
any school in the state. State signed six of the Dandy Dozen, also the
most of any school in the state.

Nobody said we had a better class or dominated UM in recruiting overall. At least, nobody I have talked to.

including arguably the most recruited player in the state in Damien Robinson, isn't dominating you in the state of MS? Ok, you win. Yeah, you had a better overall class. But I guaran-damn-tee MS HS coaches are noticing the lack of effort and arrogance they're being treated with by Nutt & Mississippi. Oh, and arguably our best 2 players to date from each of the last 2 signing classes were a 2-star (Broomfield, Freshman All-SEC) and a 3-star (Banks, Freshman All-SEC). So yeah, I'll keep taking our properly evaluated 2 & 3 star prospects. Now go make blow your boyfriend Bruiser.

Their ranking is better than ours, and I'd kill to have that class they jsut pulled in. But it's not like we're out of luck just because we have a few 2 stars and overwhelmingly 3 stars. If Mullen did anything, it was bring in athletes that could be molded into good players with proper coaching and strength training. Hardly any of these guys are going to step in and play as freshmen so we'll redshirt most of them and give them an extra year to develop. I'm not crazy about our class, but I'm not ready to jump off the ledge because of it either. Right now, I'm going to wait and see. I just think the Rebs are wanting something to claim victory about since the Egg Bowl debacle.

See, I think this is a solid class. Yeah, it's not real flashy. Losing Newton, Brunetti, and Nance hurt. So did Neal. But this class fits our needs very well. Lots of big SEC sized OLs. A couple really talented WRs. Several ATHs that can be placed where we need. And as you pointed out, almost all of these guys should be able to redshirt, which is huge, especially for the OLs we signed.

As for the Rebs wanting to claim victory about something, let them go ahead and hang another Recruiting Champions banner. You're going to think I'm crazy, but wait and see what happens next year if we beat that *** aGAIN. You just think these tools are obsessed with us now. When we win aGAIN next year, their super-psycho fans will be hiring PIs aGAIN to follow around Mullen & Co, just like they did to JWS. If they can't go through Slive, they'll go around him. They will not tolerate our success, and their 2 Cotton Bowl winning seasons has them even more psycho than usual. They think they've returned to the glory days for good.

Im not really sure what to say about your post. Robinson had a good bit of offers initially sure but when it came to the last week before NSD, the only places he could go were State and Arkansas. Ole Miss didnt even send him a LOI. And im not sure what you mean by lack of effort and arrogance of Nutt. We were limited on scholarships this year so we couldnt go to every single high school in MS and hand out a scholarship to their best player like Mullen did. Other than that im not sure what you mean by arrogance and lack of effort?

If you think Damien Robinson was the most recruited player in the stae, you dont know apples from apple sauce. Robinson had a **** ton of hype early last summer. As the camp circuit progressed and his senior season played out, the interest fell off the canyon wall. You can argue it all you want, but all the signs pointed in that direction. He may end up the next All Pro, but as it stood on signing day, his stock was in a serious slump.

And another thing.State did dominatein state recruiting over Ole Miss, USM,ULM, Memphis, Tulane, Holmes Jr, Wood Jr, ICC, etc.......in numbers.

Ole Miss....."not tolerating State's success" for the last 10 years. Thanks for that jewel SPDawg.
