Not being a smartass but with the bat changes, academic requirements, and more and more colleges putting an emphasis on baseball there just aren't the 2-3 teams each year that are loaded or thea can have runs like LSU in the 90's. Not that I'm making excuses but look at all of the higher seeds that lost tonight, including 1's losing to 4's! Miami losing to Stony Brook. That doesn't happen 10 years ago.
The fact is out of the 64 teams in the tourney about 32 could make it to Omaha if things fall right. Kinda like State winning the SECT. That's why I'm not throwing in the towel because we lost to Samford. We have a lot of pitching and if the other teams can walk 5 guys, make three errors and walk 4 each game we can win this thing!!! Are you with me?
