NCAA says asking for pay = ineligible. Read somewhere today that this rule is less than a year old - and that would explain why so many media people incorrectly say Auburn isn't in trouble even if the Newtons did ask MSU for money.

Stay tuned for the tapes. So the rumors say.

"Yeah Bell, this is Cecil. We're in with Auburn for 200 large. You sure MSU isn't going to do that?" ....or some such would be my guess.

Still.. I don't believe Auburn will declare him ineligible over us pointing fingers so this story is going nowhere unless Auburn's involved. (Which they haven't been to this point.)
