Honestly should be a small class. I think we have about 13 seniors and not sure of any juniors who'll be good enough to leave early. We'll surely have some spots open up between now & then. But it will be a quality over quantity type of class.

I'd like to see Townsend and Brewster lock up Mississippi, and pull a few big fish out of nearby areas in Alabama and Louisiana. Keep it simple, stupid....that's the motto.

I'm not a big fan of us using precious time, energy and resources guys we have no shot of getting in Immokalee, FL or wherever else. If we have a tie there and reasonably believe they will sign, sure, go for it, like Sandberg, Ross or Sills. But let's stick to our strengths here. Get in on the top JUCO targets in the MS system NOW. We're in a position where we don't need any JUCOs for the most part, but let's use them to add some serious talent like King Jackie did (pre-1999...I know Smoots' class worked out for us, but Banks class blew it up).

I think we should hit juco's hard also. We have one of the best juco programs in our back yard. We should take advantage of it since there isn't an over abundance of high school talent in ms

I think we tried pretty hard at going after our in-state jucos. I like the fact that we're traveling outside of our little pond to find help. We have to do this now. Next year I expect a lot of the same drama, we will lose some recruits that commit early but we need to learn how to close better. Early verbals don't excite me much, especially with the way our neighbors in Oxford operate..which will continue until the big boys get sick of it.
