It's pretty obvious Stratton is having one of the top Starting Pitcher seasons in MSU History...
1.66 ERA through 71 innings, 19 appearances. 7-1 record and only 12 earned runs given up through that span, as well. That's pretty comparable to Stratton's stats. 9-0 record, 2.19 ERA, 82 IP, and 20 Earned Runs given up. Just a recent example.

It's pretty obvious Stratton is having one of the top Starting Pitcher seasons in MSU History...
I remember a lot of good pitchers but don't know if we ever had one go undefeated this long. Seems like Bobby Reed only lost 1 game his freshman year (drank a lot of beer since then so subject to correction)? Be interesting if someone had the records of all the good ones we've had.

Reed went undefeated one year. Hard to top Brantley's 18-2 mark (guess that includes several postseason wins).

It'll never happen again. They used to each pitch a 7-inning game in the Saturday doubleheader then on Wednesday, they'd take turns with one starting and going 5, the the other coming in to pitch the last 4.
