It's time for the basketball program to have an enema.

What's the worst that can happen? We miss out on all those exciting March moments we've grown accustomed to this past decade?

it has to happen this year.

I wish Stans would retire and just take a couple of years off.

...We need a midseason change. The longer he is with us, the worse our program is. Make Cunningham the interim and start feeling out prospective coaches behind the scenes.

I think it's the same phenomenon that happens to any coach that stays at a team/program for a long period of time. They get complacent and comfortable and stop doing their job. Some coaches overcome that but few do.

it's the same reason successful businesses eventually hit a wall and go out of business. They don't adapt and they don't change. Eventually you make yourself irrelevant.

Bama got rid of their stansbury. They brought in a guy who is now struggling mightily to clean up the complete shitstorm Gottfried left. It appears presently that it will take Grant at least this year and one more to completely clean out the AAU/entitlement stench left behind by Gottfried's stupid ***.

And stans is basically a less sophisticated version of gottfried. Just as dirty. Just as stupid. Just as poor of a floor coach.

The longer grasshopper waits, the worse the clean-up will be and the longer it's going to take to correct things. Gonna be a long three-four years.

Sidney are really the only trouble makers/cancer on the team, maybe Bost. Kodi is a senior, not sure if Sidney gets the boot or just decides to head to Europe due to the inevitable NBA lockout next year, regardless, with the 3 signees and Mouthrie it might only take 2 years to get this program in shape for the future. We sometimes make fun of Benock, but he is a reliable player that unfortunately is a senior. Bost comes back with the supporting cast and the new kids on the block, we could still be a competitive program, but only under new leadership. Rick has checked out, he just hasn't made it official yet.

I honestly believe a majority of theseplayers don't think Stansbury can coach.Shocker right? But I didn't believe it until this year. It is what has been repeated on here ad nauseum. And all the transfer talk over the years, just figured it was bad apples and other programs do the same. But then I asked when was the LAST time we won a non-SEC game we weren't susposed to win? Win a SEC game against a top ranked Florida, Kentucky, orTennessee? How many overall SEC championships do we have during Stans tenure? 1 ? We have won theSEC tournament, what, 3 times? Close to 4 countinglast year. This has been our only claim to dominance other than winning against perennial down West. When we do get to NCAA tourney, we lose 1st/2nd round. It continues to amaze me we sign the best classes in the West year after year, which isn't saying much, yet we still struggle to get into tournament. It's as if they,us too,are waiting for their own coach to actually coach them. I am proud of Rick and what he has done but wished he would have left last year to coach at Clemson. Like Coach said, it is funny how we demand our footballcoach compete and win against the toughest team in the country yet we are so damn complacent on our basketball coach. It just doesn't make sense.

....and instead picked up another yes man told me everything I needed to know. In his mind, there is no problem.

Either he is incapable or does not see the problem or he is too insecure and afraid of being upstaged. Same result either way and anyone paying attention saw this coming several years ago.

It was the perfect time to bring some new blood into the program. Nope - business as usual.
