You're making too much sense. You've effectively ruined my heretofore positive anticipation.Look, this is an all-star team. To beat them is a real accomplishment. Oregon, who usually gives OSU a hard time, managed to keep it close and then with the help of some bad clock management by OSU, pulled off the win. Still, it can be done.
Nebraska rolled out that freshmen QB of theirs and he managed to keep it close. When he could run, he did it and moved the sticks. When he had to be a pure pocket passer, things got iffy, but they did move the ball through the air at times. I would like to think that whichever QB of ours goes, he would be more prepared to play in this game than the Nebraska QB was. So we have that going for us.
That OSU o-line is banged up, so we may be able to get a consistent pass rush. Their RB earned his NIL deal because of how he played us in the bowl game last year, so maybe we learned a thing or two for the second time we see him. I don't think our LBS are up to the ask to stop the run or intermediate pass game for 4 quarters, but if you get enough pressure on Howard, maybe you force OSU into a slower paced, more run heavy offense which (in theory) plays into the Oregon scenario: keep it close and see what happens at the end.
I think this is the first time a true lack of WR talent hurts us. OSU can just go man coverage and stack the box to stop our running backs before they get too far past the line of scrimmage. Their secondary can tackle the run. I'll be paying attention to average 2nd down distance for us: if we are averaging a ton of 2nd and longs, could be a long day.
WeirdoTeam has me believing.

We all, of course, hope you're right. But OSU has been kryptonite for CJF.Team has me believing.

I'll take what would Rick say when he can't say 8-3 for $1000 Alex.Pssssst, our all world QB is injured
Of course I’m on record 8/24 saying we win 1 playoff game this year. Why would I say that? Coach? Nah, it’s QB and DI'll take what would Rick say when he can't say 8-3 for $1000 Alex.

Come on now...horrible coaches win most of their games. I couldn't stop laughing at the dropping 5k post though....what a hero. IIRC he has a child out there, but he did it for PSU. Either way it's foolish to cry for years about a HC and then brag about supporting them.....straddling that fence like a champ. Go Blue Hens!!!!
Just dropped 5k at usc so wut?
Our front 7 is 10x better than Nebraska's and OSU couldn't run at all against themLook, this is an all-star team. To beat them is a real accomplishment. Nebraska has two guys on their DL that are excellent, but your point still stands that our front 7 is better. Our front 7 is 10x better than Nebraska's and OSU couldn't run at all against them
Yes, I know we are all excited about AK and the new explosive PSU offense, however, the reality is that for as much eye candy, window dressing, etc. he shows, the bottom line is this team is struggling to get to 30 points per game. In fact, we average 29.5 excluding the Kent State game.Mr. Potter,
I wish it were true.
Not a chance that will happen. Seen this movie before.
Unfortunately semi-pro team from o hi-o 24 or 27 points, and fighting, hang tough Lions 13 or 16.
I am looking forward to see what AK has for them. Yurcich was pitiful against OSU and Michigan. AK likes to take shots down the field. Add in a running QB that fits AK play calling and offense more this should be interesting. Allen I believe will hold his own against the OSU offense. For all his faults Franklin has always played OSU tough usually leading going into the 4th qtr. Hoping that AK and Allen can finally bring it home for the W.Team has me believing.

Real men played and cheered for the Mansfield Mounties. Blue Hens are a dynasty by comparison.Come on now...horrible coaches win most of their games. You won't see the same OSU team that played Nebraska. The $20 million dollar version will be unleashed. Our front 7 is 10x better than Nebraska's and OSU couldn't run at all against them
You may as well bet on the game then if you’re so sure. Especially since the RBs averaged 2 yards per carry in the game last year. You won't see the same OSU team that played Nebraska. The $20 million dollar version will be unleashed.
This team has had me doubting since game 1. The soft schedule has been a huge benefit.
I think having a QB who can run gives us a much better chance.
USC is proving to be ordinary. Hanging a win on them is special cause the mileage.Don't discredit winning AT USC and AT Camp Randall. Bowling Green also wasn't a total pushover like most expected.

You mean the Bowling Green team that lost to Northern Illinois by 10 points? But that's what happens when the team only plays one half of good football each game.Don't discredit winning AT USC and AT Camp Randall. Bowling Green also wasn't a total pushover like most expected.
C'mon. Bandwagon? Anyone who has ever posted on this site even once isn't a bandwagoner. Let's do better.

This is the game where we learn about our NIL cornerbacks. They've been having OL issues all year. the RG is weak, and the LG is most likely moving out to LT which most likely weak LG. and while the LG that's moving to LT is a stud, that's a different position and i'm interested to see Abdul and potentially DDS with their speed rush go against a dude used to playing guard.
And if the OL can't hold up, you have 2.3 yards per carry, and not enough time for the QB to wait for the WRs to get open.
If PSU is smart, they pressure all game and play man under cover 2 (not press) on the outside WRs to let the pressure get home, and force them to run the ball (risky, because they have the RBs to light us up, but the OL hasnt' helped the run game)
If tOSU is smart, they go to the quick passing game that gave us fits against Bowling Green. Imagine trying to not let Smith get inside with his 6'3" 220lb self
Would ND lose to NI if they played again? Would you bet on NI?You may as well bet on the game then if you’re so sure. Especially since the RBs averaged 2 yards per carry in the game last year.
