than any other time in his career. Don't know if that's true or not, but what do you think Mullen learned this year that will affect our program? I'm gonna say it's the way he handles coaches- I think Torbush's departure was a surprise (not that it bothers me and I think we'll be fine).

Side note- the hand signal that TCU does "the horned frog" looks retarded. It looks like someone with severe arthritis or something.

should have got Russell ready to play by mid season. He gambled on getting Newton so we will also pay for that mistake some next year. I just hope it does not cost us a game or we might be sitting at home again next year or at playing for a lesser bowl.

than many realize. Again part of the process of climbing a very steep learning curve. It`ll take some time before he`s a finished product but he`ll be a good one when he gets there.

I agree, after losing Newton, it feels like this rebuilding process is going to take a lot longer than anyone hoped for...which is okay. I don't know that Torbush leaving is a bad sign. To me, of any of the assistants, you'd have to agree he was the one holding MSU back the most. I don't doubt that bad blood may have developed there, and maybe not...maybe Torbush just realized he wasn't going to be a good fit here at State.

I don't care if the rebuilding process is slow, just so long as it looks to be on par or improving along the way. Looking at the recruiting class so far for 2010 alone, I think it is at least better than average of what Croom brought in. Plus I trust Mullen can do more with any kind of talent. Let's let him work with what recruits he gets for the next couple years...you never know, he may see alot more than what we or Rivals, Scouts, or ESPN sees, and we all know his track record for developing players even at MSU.

and had it reiterated a bunch of times. The refs, Brunetti, Newton, etc.

More specifically, he learned the value of a good coordinator, opposite side of the ball of your own specialty.
