I've subscribed to the theory that the Tuohy's have embellished their story quite a bit, while Hollywood embellished that even further (which isn't surprising). However, I have always said that what they did was noble no matter the motives. With that said, I saw Lee Anne Tuohy on the Memphis news talking about how great they were and all that garbage, and then she says, "I wonder how many more Michael Oher's there are!"

So, I'm forced to wonder, why don't they go adopt more? It's obviously been a great experience for them. Why don't they really go rescue someone with a disability or someone that doesn't have potential to be a 1st rounder? If you truly have a heart for this type of thing (and I'm not one to judge if they do or not)... DO MORE OF IT!!! I know tons of people that have adopted domestically and all over the world. People that rescued kids from impossible situations. The one thing they will all tell you is once you do it once, you want to go back and do it more and more...

Just my thoughts.

Or the proceeds from the book and/or movie? What happened to Michael's siblings? Where are they? Are they walking barefoot in the snow in the middle of the night with no place to sleep? Was the agreement that as soon as one child was picked up that way, the next in line would begin walking that path every night until they were picked up by some rich booster with major contacts at a BCS university?

All I know is If I were Sandra Bullock I'd be pissed that a producer thought I looked even remotely enough like Lee Anne Touhy that I could play her in a movie.

75% of the story the Touhy's are telling now is horseshit. Basically, the only part that is true is he went to OM and then to the Ravens. When they "found" him he was already living with one of the Briarcrest football coaches. Briarcrest High School asked not to be included in the story and didn't want to have anything to do with it at all. And yes, Sean Touhy has plenty of money. He owns all the Taco Bells in Memphis. Not saying what the Touhy's did didn't benefit Oher for the better. But, anyone who thinks their intentions weren't to get this guy to OM is crazy.

That phrase always makes me chuckle. Does he have more money that Michael Jackson made in his life? Are you familar with the Vanderbilt family who essentially spent one of the greatest fortunes in the history of humanity? More money than someone can spend doesn't exist.

The movie was backed by Fed Ex CEO Fred Smith to give his daughter, Molly Smith, a project to work on. They made her executive producer of the film.
Smith's $$$ is the only reason that they could get A list folks like Sandra Bullock in this film. And, it is a huge exaggeration from the actual facts. The writers would have you believe that the Tuohys had no idea that Oher was a good athlete. There's nothing farther from the truth.

I've seen the trailers and don't know much about it other than that. Does the movie reference UM at all? From the trailer, it doesnt appear it does.

Because the whole ++@%*%# country is going to see a happy-go-lucky story with Sandra Bullock slapping *** and everybody's out feeling warm and fuzzy (except all you in-the-know State fans). And it's got Ole Miss in it... The world will never know all the true evil behind the making of this piece of cinematic fiction and fantasy.

Suckas.

they'll talk about how they're gonna send their young uns to Mississippi, but they'll think twice after they turn on the news and see the KKK marching on the Mississippi campus. Yeah. You got us good, douche.

Not sure why it has to be anything more than that. Does anyone have any facts that would lead one to believe that there was something wrong or sinister about the situation? I haven't paid much attention to it but would be open to hearing the other side.

the movie isn't about Ole Miss and won't be a seen as a promotion of the University to viewers, thus they won't come home saying that they want to send their kids there. It's about Oher's life. Ole Miss is as much a part as Briarcrest.

The KKK isn't marching anywhere. They are a bunch of racist pussies who talk a bunch of **** and don't have the 17ing balls to back it up. They are all about threats. See the debate, for example. They said the same **** about marching and showing up and they never did.
