Feel like I'm hearing a fishing story. Each time it gets told, the story keeps getting bigger and bigger. Hard to believe or take serious any of this.

I'm just ready for the side of the story he's clearing his name from.

So far, we have this guy flapping his gums about clearing his name. Who accused this guy of anything? Why does his name need clearing? Sounds like he's trying to get in the first word before other info is released which implicates him in something...

He is acting like he tried so damn hard to pay his bills at the hotel and at the restaurants. I think that is the main thing. He doesn't want to look like he was a willing participant in being bought.

I know the parent of a SEC recruit (not MSU) in Memphis and the word is that De'Vinner is done. His job depended on having some decent contacts in the SEC and they all just dried up. No one is going to take this guy's call ever again. It's one thing to see something, and you have to tell the NCAA the truth, but no one is up for having a guy around who gets his rocks off going to the press. Not to mention that every time he opens his mouth to clear his name he squarely implicates himself in the whole thing. This guy is going to have to move to Canada if he wants to be involved in High School football again.

Makes me wonder what really happened. He was good with all of this, then something happened. Was it not getting the job at State? Did he ask the booster for money and got told no? And yes, this guy has sealed his fate, he is now radioactive.

He had to go back to Anthony's three times just so he could tell if some booster was really buying his meals. PLEASE CHILD !!
By the way Anthony's is pretty damn good.

Not getting the job would potentially make him bitter towards MSU wouldn't it

Right.

This guy should be black-balled by the NCAA, officially. There's NO WAY he should be allowed to associate with potential D1 athletes.

Has it been confirmed that he interviewed for a position in the MSU athletic dept.? I find this very hard to believe. His credentials are being a volunteer assistant (probably more like a pest and a distraction) at a couple of high school programs and running a 7 on 7 program. Maybe he suggested we hire him to "help" with recruiting and the answer was "yeah, yeah, maybe so..." Now, shoo fly! I would think most of the guys on our coaching staff have been around long enough and have dealt with enough of these types that they would have him pegged pretty quick. Yeah, I'm sure they probably humored him some to keep him from trying to steer the kid somewhere else, but to seriously consider hiring this clown? I just don't buy it. Whatever went down, this is smelling more and more like a failed shakedown than anything else.
