Alabama's upcoming addition to the south endzone of Bryant-Denny. New club level, 2 levels of luxury suites, at least 10K seats (my estimation). A $47M project... just for one endzone. I haven't gone to look for any artists renderings.. and I don't think I want to.

Damn.

Definitely makes me jealous. However, you didn't post the most important piece of information. How big is their TV? I'll bet the ones we have in Mississippi are bigger.

Of course, their behavior may have something to do with the fact that I've only been in there when they were beating the ever-living **** out of hapless MState teams.

on part of the job. Yes, they did it perfectly. It looks incredible on paper.

Thing was cleared for 65 million and went for 47ish....there was a 5 or so million dollar difference from #1 to #2...

....you should be there when we're beating them by two touchdowns. It's great fun.

Wew somebody just took a hit. 5 million dollar difference between # 1 AND #2 ? I bet a estimator right now is getting his *** chewed. Leaving that much on the table in this economy is really bad. When they bid it they probably left something out. Like maybe the concrete? ha

I attended our game from 97 to 01 there. As well as others in the early 90s and a couple in the 80s. I have never seen that place as dead as in 97. Empty seats everywhere, fans quiet. They were not doing great that year and it was a cold day. However, in 99, the place was rocking. It was one of the best, most intense atmospheres I have ever experienced for a game involving State on the road.

Wish I could have been there for 05 and 07.

Here's a link to some drawings from the Bryant-Denny expansion site. One thing you have to remember is that the expansion is that it's at least 6 or 7 seven stories off the ground and is being constructed in a pretty tight physical space. While it won't have video screens as large as those in Starkville or Oxford, it will have four - one in each corner of the stadium.

they didnt leave it out but the winner of the concrete probably wishes they did because he was, percentage wise, left WAYYYYY more than that 5 mil on the table which was about 10% or so of the job. Concrete dude was WAYYYYY more than that.

As for the estimator of the GC, the first comment when i got a call back happened to be from the #2 bidder, and he said i wouldnt have a job right now even if i could justify it to my boss and even if i was right...they would fire in spite. He said that guys ******* couldnt squeeze a bb through it. I concured, was told i wasnt low and was then told the low bid...i started lauging and said now THAT guys ******* is even tighter than the GC's. Crazy ****...
