offensive coordinator into "Dixie" would really benefit. Look at Bama this year. I'm not really sure what type of scheme they are running, but it's being coordinated by a former Pac-10 offensive guy. The way I see it is this - If you are running an offense for a Pac-10 school, normally, you wouldn't keep a job if you didn't know how to move the football. Those teams for the most part for so many years rack up huge yards and score a ton of points.

I still think the first Mississippi school to run some type of the spread offense - see this link for the different versions, which by the way are always being modified (hell, last week at GT, they threw for over 250 yards - mixing in some ideas and plays that Johnson used to call when he was at Hawaii -said in an interview this week here in ATL- and it's so easy with this offense, b/c with just moving a player in motion, you can go from one spread formation to another) --- but, the first team that runs a primarily running based spread offense, will dominate in this state. Just think about it --- there are so many "raw" wr types - basketball players that would love to bring their skills at the WR position - with the right coach it would work and it would turn a lot of heads. I can dream i guess - but i would love nothing better than for some young head coach winning game after game here at MSU ---- and telling fans from all ages, that you can win here and it doesn't have be with power I formation football.

Before anyone disagrees, just watch Peterson at Boise State this year --- it's not a Leach throw happy offense...

The way I see it is that if you have 15 (or whatever) freshmen that can compete in the SEC, then you can run any damn system and win. In the next year or two Bama is going to be competitive with...the Dallas Cowboys. OK...the NO Saints.
