For the first time in forever I don't give two chits about the NCAA tournament.
Screwing my team out of its rightful spot in the tourney will do that to me.
It must be really, really tough for the players.

didnt look at the matchups until today, slowly getting interest but it likely is going to be muted this year.

players will be back playing tomorrow so not much time to sulk

Huh? Nobody interested in the "exciting" 1st round games in Dayton?
This is the best, most popular, most fantastic tournament in the world.

Those 1st round games are can't miss TV with the exciting #11 seed matchups.

I'm slowly progressing toward the "acceptance" step in the process now. I really wanted to get into the tournament and this really sucks. But now I have a bunch of teams to root against. Eff Nevada. Eff Providence. Eff anyone in the Big East and Mountain West. And of course Bobby Hurley and ASU.

Maybe it'll be like last year - when the B1G had a pretty poor showing in the Tournament (weren't all but 1 or 2 teams eliminated in the first round or something?).

This year, however, I see Purdue making it pretty deep.

Probably watched the most basketball ever this year so it really stinks because I would have otherwise had an all time high interest in the tournament. Though, will still watch - Instead of rooting for anyone in particular, will enjoy rooting heavily against Nevada and Utah State - MWC love is ridiculous.

Funny, I kind of feel the same…and for the first time ever. What’s really strange is I don’t even care that the B1G teams do well, and I know that I should, since it’s in Rutgers’ best interest.

It has definitely curbed my enthusiasm for sure. I’ll spend more time following the NIT this year. Sucks!

Its like watching the girl you wanted to go out with go on a date with someone else
For me it's more like taking an awesome brown bag lunch to work, putting it in the fridge there, thinking all morning about how great the meal is gonna be at lunchtime, and then at lunchtime finding that somebody has stolen it.

March madness is the best 4 weeks of the yr IMO (sports wise). I will be intently watching, and will be aggressively rooting Nevada and NC State to get the doors blown off

Yeah... but it's a tradition for me that goes way back. I'm working on my brackets now. Two sheets: one is my top choices; the other mixes in a few dark horses and an alternate champ. Of course, the winning approach is always a combo of the two. But a third sheet is just desperate....

I'm glad someone started this thread. I'm not watching any of it this year. No NIT or NCAA tournament. Not making a bracket for this first time in probably decades. I just don't care. I just want the season to end, to follow the Mariners with MLB, follow NFL hot stove and the draft, and start talking about the 2023-2024 basketball team. I'm sorry for how it all sounds, but the basketball season is dead to me.

I haven't even looked at the entire bracket in full yet. I'm sure i'll get back into it on Thursday when games are about to tip off, but since last night I've been pretty numb to all things basketball
I haven’t either and I usually have it memorized by now…lol

I haven't looked at the bracket yet either. I'm moving towards acceptance, but I feel like the committee gutted me of something that brought a lot of fun.

We had those threads on who we needed to root against. I think we need to do that for the NCAA Tournament also. I'll start:

NC State
Nevada
Pitt
Providence
Arizona State
Penn State

Ill add Northwestern over Boise State.

Utah State to blow out

Same lack of interest here, even though my alma mater squeaked in. They'll be a one and done.

I'm a college hoops diehard... I watched the sport intently while Rutgers stunk up the joint and embarrassed itself nationally for a large part of three decades... getting snubbed Sucked with a capital S, but it won't diminish my love for my favorite sport. I'll be watching as many games as I can, like I have every year since I was a youngster.

I'll be interested in the B1G teams but certainly won't be going out of my way to watch any of it. Looking forward to some good Law&Order re-runs.

Like @RU205 stated I have interest and will watch the NIT for the first time since 2006.

Other than that, like many, my only interest in the NCAA's is for NC St., Nevada, Providence and Pitt to completely embarrass themselves and make everyone say, "why were they even in the tournament?".

Agree ill watch the NCAA tourney but not same interest, though I’ll be seeing you, nc state, Nevada, miss state, pitt, providence, and Utah state…even Boise state, the whole mw.
You know that both are going to the sweet 16 just to rub salt in our wounds

Probably my favorite sports event of the year. Having RU in the last 2 was like a dream. Now we’re back at the kiddie table and it’s a complete buzzkill for both tourneys for me.
