He's a projected second rounder. He could certainly go, but in the NIL era it's far from 100% certainty.
2nd round is about $1.4M - $2.4M bonus. Gonna be hard to match that in college, and a lot higher risk of falling than moving up if you do go to college. I think signability is well about 95% for 1st 3 rounds.

Let's take a couple mil from that 8 million donation we got and get this guy! If we don't he'll likely end up at LSU or Tenn.

Trending toward college if you look over the 3 year college years period instead of only the signing bonus and minor leagues. Better development, less minor league BS, and better competition in the SEC.

Very few players turn down top 3 rounds. And better development isn’t even close. Minor leagues wins that easily. Twice as many games and the focus is on development, not winning games.

This is very true. No one in several years has turned down even third round money

Good grief. He's coming here or in the draft. Do you have to have little man syndrome about every single thing??

It would be an amazing addition. Not a sure thing because he will definitely be drafted relatively high. He might or might not go. The fact that he changed his commitment from Virginia to State makes me think he would like to play for O'Connor. We just gotta wait and see. Some good college play can almost certainly push him into the top ten later on. Some people do actually think ahead. Not everybody is short sighted.

That's because the ones that turned it down let clubs know and were never drafted there. If a guy goes in the Top 10 rounds, then normally he has already agreed to a ballpark number. MLB teams get dinged when they don't sign their Top 10 picks.

I never knew he could pitch this well. It will be nice in case we need someone to stop an attack in 24 hours.

And NIL will have more turning it down now than before. You can get NIL money every year to play college. The MLB signing bonus is a one time thing. Theoretically you can get NIL for three years and still get a nice signing bonus.

I think we have better than a 50/50 chance of him foregoing the draft and coming to M$U.
Harmon on the other hand has rented a venue for his draft party.
