Everyone knows the legendary quote about "drive of the game" being Jack's drive to tupelo, but I can't figure something out. I've seen it on the list of quotes from the '08 egg bowl.

I watched that on TV, so I didn't hear jack's commentary, but I know I remember hearing about him saying that before then. What game was it originally? Did he say it multiple times? Did he really say it after the '08 egg bowl? Has he said it multiple times? Depressing memories, I know, but this has kinda been bothering me.

I felt like I was watching Bama go up against their scout team. Absolutely nothing about that game could get a State fan excited.

Wow, seven minutes. And late on a sunday night. More proof sixpack is the place to go for true knowledgeable MSU fans.

....but then it went downhill from there. And that wasn't even a good Alabama team.

term "positive"...anything other than that 45-0 whipping and croom might still be there, just like orgeron's implosion the yr before ended up being a blessing.

relative to this actual thread. i LOVE jack cristil. he's a homer as IMO he should be, but he's fair and very entertaining and knowledgeable. i wish our guy had half jack's ability.

that drive went:

Run stuffed at the line, run stuffed at the line, bubble screen to the right for 80 yards--touchdown. And the game was over.
