1. MSU dline is very good; 4 or 5th best in the conference;
2. Tyler Russell failed to make plays; in particular 3 down conversions; and
3. was making another point when Jack Arute cut him off (that dude is rude on his show) to ask about Johnny Football.

I thought the dline point was interesting because I don't remember them playing that well. Also, I think OSU d is pretty solid and athletic. They won't be the best d you face but they may end up being as good or better than everybody but Bama and LSU.

I would be very surprised if OSU defense can be mentioned in the same sentence

with Bama and LSU come November but I do think it may be the best defense they have ever had. We will see.

You break down the Russell vs. Prescott stuff like this. Russell will beat the teams we’re better than, but we’re not going to overachieve under him, at all. Our offense flat out will not reach its full potential with him at QB. But before everybody starts clamoring for Prescott, we all need to remember that beating the teams we are supposed to beat really isn’t all that bad. We could go 6-6 by doing just that. Depending on how good Auburn, Kentucky, LSU, Arkansas and Ole Miss really are. Unfortunately Alabama, Texas A&M and South Carolina are likely automatic losses. I feel very confident that Russell will carve up Troy and Bowling Green because we obviously out-talent them. And probably Auburn, Kentucky and Arkansas too. Others are toss-ups.

I think the big question is the known with Russell vs. the unknown with Prescott. It's understandable why people are frustrated.

State's offense won't reach it's potential with either quarterback. It's only when they work together in a symbiotic relationship that they will truly succeed.*

I don't know why State is the only underachieving team in the nation who can't run a two quarterback system. They've got to go 70/30 pass with TR and 30/70 with Dak. But that also means to keep teams honest TR has to occasionally run the read-option and Dak has to throw it.

Unfortunately, State doesn't understand how to shift gears when its motor starts staling. Talk about not taking shots all they want to, but not giving Dak some plays in the first half cost them the game (They were skert).

I'm not getting the question. We didn't go 70/30 with TR on Sat. Our overall numbers won't be 70/30 - possibly like 60/40
