I see rumors online that Lebby might be interested in him. Anybody else seen anything?
He’s a waste of NIL money in my opinion.

This is the right and obvious answer. We may have recruited Arnold last year, but we won't be this year. They have already stated they were building a team around Kamario. They also said they would sign a back up qb most likely depending on the situation with Luke
I'm sure they'll be just fine with the real starter from this year back. **That’s rumors kept afloat primarily by Ole Miss Fans and disgruntled MSU fans.
Maybe he goes to Ole Miss… they will need a QB once Trinidad goes to LSU.
Seems like a stupid move, therefore we’ll likely do it.I see rumors online that Lebby might be interested in him. Anybody else seen anything?

Well, we HAVE to have a backup QB so all of our fans can ***** about how much better he is than the starter. It's simply a must. Why? and hell no. He ain't worth a damn, and we have a QB. If Lebby does this I'm completely done with him. He turned us down last year, thank God, and I wouldn't take him if he would pay us to play here. Screw him. WE HAVE A QB!!!!
Exactly. Arnold is going to want to start and that doesn't even need to be an option. I would be shocked and very disappointed if we signed him. Even I don't think Lebby is that dumb.We just need to go get someone like Chambliss, (D2 or FCS guy) that wants a chance to make the team but knows they are the backup unless something happens.
Shame on me for not thinking of that angle. You may be right.Seems like a stupid move, therefore we’ll likely do it.
Chambliss was a unicorn. You see a guy come along like that maybe once a decade. We just need to go get someone like Chambliss, (D2 or FCS guy) that wants a chance to make the team but knows they are the backup unless something happens.
Takes luck but also takes a hell if an evaluator like kiffin or Mullen to get that. And takes a hell if a recruiter to land them. And a hell of a developer. Kiffin is all of those things, Mullen is two of them. I'm not so sure Lebby is but one of them and that's a recruiter but considering he didn't get Arnold or Gabriel to transfer the first time out of OU I'm not so sure if that either, he didn't get Womack so I'll give him that. Taylor was a bulldog fan but he didn't whiff on an easier target like Mullen did with several.Chambliss was a unicorn. You see a guy come along like that maybe once a decade.
Even Kiffin didn't know what he had with Chambliss. He didn't even think he was the starter until the other guy got hurt. Good evaluation and coaching, sure. I am not saying you find a Chambliss. I was saying that you get a guy from a lower division that is good but isn't a big NIL hit. Also the guy has to come in and accept unless something happens, KT is the guy. Chambliss wasn't even the starter until several games in. Even after doing well at the beginning, everyone expected Simmons to take his job back when he got healthy.Chambliss was a unicorn. You see a guy come along like that maybe once a decade.
I hear what you're saying. I'm just saying that getting a guy of that quality from a lower division just doesn't happen. Once Chambliss took the job, Simmons was done. Ole Miss isn't a playoff team without him. They hit the lottery with that guy.I am not saying you find a Chambliss. I guess it depends on what you want out of the guy. Do you want someone that will push KT to be better and have to fight for the job which runs the risk of alienating him into transferring? Or do you want an insurance policy in case he gets banged up or a random helmet is off and someone has to take a snap.I hear what you're saying. We did something similar with a DB from Kinnesaw State and the guy sucked. So these things don't always work out like we hope.
I think we've told KT he's our QB next year. We're not going to sign a guy to push him. We'll sign a backup cheap. And if KT gets hurt (or turns out to just not be as good as advertised), it's just going to be a long year. We can't afford to tie up as much money in backup QBs as we did this fall.I guess it depends on what you want out of the guy. I assume we take someone that is maybe at Delta St or wherever that wants an opportunity to be on a SEC team to start a coaching career making connections. Someone like a Tyson Lee, who isn't really good enough to be a full time starter unless the stars align. Again, probably not someone that expects to start but is ok knowing he is an emergency backup.

Arnold could actually make sense for us to pick up this time. Not at a premium price, and not in a starting role. We will need a competitive QB out of the portal, the only ones you're going to get are guys with a RS available since KT is the crowned starter entering the offseason. JA fits the bill. Comes in, competes, develops, and hopefully redshirts. But if you need him he's there, keeps you from leaning on a Freshman if you need a backup for an extended period.Well we won't go into the season with KT and a walk on and a true freshman. I hope Luke stays but my guess is he wants to start. KT will be the starter. IF Lebby went after Arnold he certainly wouldn't pay much but if Luke transfers and KT gets hurt we cant throw McWhorter out there. There are some good QB in the portal but no doubt they won't come to be a backup
With a name like that, he’s definitely not from Black, GAMay I introduce the future....

In the case of K Taylor they were right. When you have a kid that people compare to Jayden Daniels and your team is ******, you play him.Well, we HAVE to have a backup QB so all of our fans can ***** about how much better he is than the starter. It's simply a must.

But we have to know who HIS backup is. He will undoubtedly be better than KT once KT is the starter. In the case of K Taylor they were right. When you have a kid that people compare to Jayden Daniels and your team is ******, you play him.
^^As backup, & a very discounted rate, sure.
