I’m selling tickets and would like for you to buy one from me. We need your support to make this a success. The details are below:

Mississippi State University Alumni Association Jackson County Chapter Scholarship Fund Drawdown
April 27, 2013 7:00 – 10:00 PM, Elks Lodge, 303 Krebs Avenue, Pascagoula, MS

Tickets are $50 and admits 2. We will have food and drink, including beer and wine. In addition to the grand prize, we will have intermediate drawings for prizes and gift certificates, including Woody’s Bar and Grill, Scranton’s, Lenny’s, Azteca’s, Sports Shack, Phoenicia’s, Corder’s Creamery, Karen’s Flowers, and Cornerstone to name a few (the list is growing!). We will also have a few silent auction items for you to bid on.

Please make your check payable to MSU Alumni Association Jackson County Chapter and I will pick it up from you and give you your ticket.

What's a Drawdown?

You've never been to one? They draw all the tickets and the last person picked wins the cash prize. Sometimes, when they get to the last 5 or so - they will all agree to split the prize.

My high school has a $10,000 draw down every year. It's fun. Food/drink is provided with your ticket. For our $10,000 drawdown - a ticket is $125 for two people.

At a Christmas party I attended one year, we did that....

I was part of the last 5 selected and was perfectly happy to split the $1000. Anyway, these girls in the back were wanting their friend to win it all so she refused to quit. Anyway, when we got down to three of us, I got picked and was about ready to throw over their table. Luckily, the other person won leaving the girls empty-handed.
