Looks like an officer or multiple officers were shot or killed. Horrible.

Anyone want to bet if the suspect had a long rap-sheet and should have already been in jail. Common thread in almost every major crime committed in Jackson. JPD catches them "judges" turn them loose to break the law over and over again. I deeply feel for the officer`s family R.I.P.
