I was expecting better from Colby Holcomb this year. We were down 2-0 after one. He was pulled in the 2nd with THE BASES LOADED.

In the meantime we are making an 11.57 ERA pitcher look like a 1.3 ERA.

I went back and looked. We're 54-8 all time against Jackson State, which is the only Mississippi HBCU to actually win a game against us (MVSU is 0-27 and Alcorn is 0-17 against us).

The Jackson State losses were:
2010 1-3 in Pearl
1992 4-8 in Jackson
1987 4-5 in Jackson
1981 10-11 in Jackson
1980 4-5 in Starkville
1979 3-4 in Jackson
1977 7-8 in Jackson
1976 8-9 in Starkville

So, yes, if we lose today, it will be our first loss to Jackson State at home in 44 years.
