Looks like dude from "Blacula". And before I get whacked it was an awesome 70's B horror flick.

I am trying to come up with a comment, but I can't. This is just beyond rational thought.

Video is great

If you don't watch the video from the press conference, you're really missing a treat.

Well, they've finally hired a JSU man so all their alumni will finally be happy. I used to work with WC Gordon's son and he said the alumni never even really accepted his dad because he wasn't a JSU man. I didn't realize Harold Jackson was that old or that he'd been out of coaching that long. He would have been a good hire 15 years ago. Probably not so much today.

If you go to around the 12:15 mark his answer to the first reporter question is Jameis Winston-esque

And it looks like Comegy is going to take the Mississippi Valley State job. It's gonna get real embarrassing for JSU if they start losing that game.

For those of you too young to remember him he was a hell of a receiver in his day, led the NFL several years. That said, sitting in a garage doesn't make you a car any more than sitting in church makes you a christian...............

Nothing wrong with working at 68. I'm 71 and still working, not because I have to but because I want to. I think he's a young looking 68 and for the most part very well - spoken. I wish him well.

No disrespect, but what percentage of your job calls for you to relate well with 16 to 22 year olds?

Please God, don't let my words offend anyone, but...

The first 4 or so mins of that vid was a disaster... Then, the Jewish black (?) woman got up to speak... All I could think is "my god, that lady is nuttier than squirrel ****". I had to turn it off... I wish Jax St. The best.........

Why exactly did they give Comegy the shaft? I thought he was doing pretty well considering.

That press conference made me feel like no one in the room had a clue. His speech had no specific plan included. Just some empty platitudes about students and tradition. They'll just play football, I guess.

The SWAC is so irrelevant now that I don't think any good up and coming coach would take a head coaching job there. You're pretty much stuck there even if you do have any success. Jay Hopson seems to have turned Alcorn around, but it took him close to 20 years to get that gig and will he turn it into something better?

I guess Jackson State didn't have a lot of options. I don't see this ending well. I'll smile for Comegy when Valley beats them.

Trust me, your co-workers wish you'd retire. Especially if you use the term, "well spoken" often.

I think it's more that he hasn't been in football for the last 7 years than the fact he's 68. I hope he does well. He was one of my favorite players when I was a kid (even before I knew he was from Mississippi).

I vote that we change the rule of 17 to the rule of 68 for this thread

What the 68 is JSU thinking? I mean they must have some 68 morons in charge over there! They don't know their 68 *** from a hole in the ground. It will be hilarious if Comegy does go to Valley and skull 68's them over the next few years!

Yes, he was a hell of a player. One of my favorites. I just assumed he was in the Hall of Fame. But I Googled him and somehow he's not. When he retired, he was 2nd in career receiving yards and for the decade of the 70's he was 1st in receptions, yards, and TDs.

This is an accurate assessment. The people at JSU don't know a damn thing about nothing. They should just focus on basketball for Christ's sake.

I am a retired pastor who chooses to work in retirement. Served a large church in MS, retired at 64, and have been serving as an interim pastor in CO since. My job does require me to relate to many young adults, since I am currently serving a three year stint in a fast growing church in the Denver suburbs, but rest assured I don't have relationships with young men (though I do relate to them). As long as my mind works, I intend to work. I enjoy what I do, and evaluations are that I am good at it. And I get paid to live where I used to vacation. Life is good - stop by on your next ski trip.
