Almost like as soon as Lee went to Florida, Jackson popped for SJ. I assume they had 2.5-3M type offers out to both for the first one to accept(yes I know they’re different positions)We can end the Ian Jackson pipe dream. He allegedly just committed to St. John’s
I sure can't find anything to prove that's trueWe can end the Ian Jackson pipe dream. He allegedly just committed to St. John’s
Discord brotherI sure can't find anything to prove that's true
Watkins would be a dude I’d love to get, he’s not the shooter we need but dude can score other ways. Also Jamir Watkins and Dame Saar
Great point!Tells you what guards think about Jasper Johnson and Collin Chandler.
Kentucky had reached out
My standards typically lowered the closer it was to closing time.I trust Pope’s judgement but not gonna lie, this one’s a head scratcher.
Yes, right after Washington got him. They sure did. They pulled out on yates
EXACTLY. Ain’t nobody that can play a lick scared of Colin Chandler taking their mins. I swear, the stuff that gets said on here is comical. So St John's has no trouble having 2 stud SG's but UK can't get 1 because of JJ or Colin. Yeah that's BS.
You know how the spin goes around here lol.So St John's has no trouble having 2 stud SG's but UK can't get 1 because of JJ or Colin. Yeah that's BS.
Yeah I’m not feeling this one.Average of 2.2 and 34.7 from FG. Am I missing something? I know that can be misleading but those percentages definitely don’t stand out. Feels like a settle if it happens
I guess he has one year of college under his belt but seems like we may as well take the kid who visited today if that’s the case. Hawthorne? This kid has a lot of potential. Former top 70 2024 recruit. He apparently played really well last season at the top 100 camp. Looking at pics, he does look like a late bloomer physically. He can shoot, he's long and pretty athletic too. Scouting reports from high school needed him to work on his handles and his frame.
Of course I'd love an Ian Jackson or Dame Sarr, but there's definitely potential. Yes, I'm being optimistic , but looking back at last season, none of us expected Oweh to be as impactful on both ends of the floor.
Kentucky already got a really good guard. “Stud” label a lot of yall are using is silly. So St John's has no trouble having 2 stud SG's but UK can't get 1 because of JJ or Colin. Yeah that's BS.
For the same reason I said the moment I heard UK was contacting him. We run a very specific system and are 12 deep already. Ian Jackson would demand shots, PT, money that I didn’t think we could offer. The Pope system relies on having multiple guys working almost co-equally together. I’m not throwing shade at Jackson —- I never saw him as a fit here. If Pope really wanted him, we’d have been on him sooner, just my opinion. Why? St John's is more loaded than we are at SG. they just got the Stanford guy.
Yeah, Walker Horn can fill that role in practice.Yeah I’m not feeling this one.
Yeah Jackson isn't a stud and you created a thread about how much you wanted the Stanford guy.Kentucky already got a really good guard. “Stud” label a lot of yall are using is silly.
Under Pope, the “stud” is the name “Kentucky” on the front of that jersey.Kentucky already got a really good guard. “Stud” label a lot of yall are using is silly.
Oh lord. Guys don't come for the front of the jersey anymore. It's not 1955. Maybe guys like Perry but that's it.Under Pope, the “stud” is the name “Kentucky” on the front of that jersey.
Forgot about him, There hasn't been much info out on him.. unless i missed it. I guess the visit was today, so maybe some info will be out tomorrow. Not sure Hawthorne would help much this coming season - that kid is extremely skinny. Really good length , but not super twitchy.I guess he has one year of college under his belt but seems like we may as well take the kid who visited today if that’s the case. Hawthorne?
Yeah but I never called the Stanford guy a stud man. The Stanford guy is a good shooter, which is what we need. The “stud” term and acting liking Kentucky has to have one is not true.Yeah Jackson isn't a stud and you created a thread about how much you wanted the Stanford guy.
Thanks for letting my know. I may need to go buy a calendarOh lord. Guys don't come for the front of the jersey anymore. It's not 1955. Maybe guys like Perry but that's it.
Kentucky had reached out
I'm sure the money has nothing to do with it. Guys like Oweh are just playing for the name on the jersey.Under Pope, the “stud” is the name “Kentucky” on the front of that jersey.
My guy dint explain we come with some info and some bitches knit pickDiscord brother
You get paid good to be a Kentucky player. Based on what we have heard, however, we don’t overpay anyone and I think I understand why. It’s a filter. I watched BBN Tonight anf I heard Pope keep using that word “filter.” Starting to think he’s got the right idea. The players who are here want to be HERE and they want to be part of a TEAM. That’s why it’s going to work in the long run imo.I'm sure the money has nothing to do with it. Guys like Oweh are just playing for the name on the jersey.
Pope is having trouble finding a 2 guard. It is what it is but people acting like it's not true are in denial.
