Kinda frustrating fight to watch. Paul was running around trying to avoid fighting and then diving at AJ's legs anytime it seemed like an actual boxing match might start. Not saying he had any other options, but as soon as he got too tired to run away he got his *** whooped. I laugh at people saying AJ didn't look good - how could anyone look good in this fight?

I'll tell you a couple things that few people actually know about Jake Paul. My son doesn't know him personally, but a close friend who he went to school with at Iowa and owns the premier indoor aquarium business in the country does. Believe it or not, he says Jake is the nicest guy you could ever meet...away from the public eye.

Paul lives in big home in Puerto Rico and my son's friend was called down there over Thanksgiving due to an issue with his aquarium. Paul flew him down and when they were talking the Anthony fight came up. Jake said, "Man, I'm gonna get my *** whipped, so I'm gonna circle and throw a few bombs, but if he hits me square he's gonna knock me out." Then he said, "I continue to build a brand that people hate, but I'm gonna bring in almost $ 100 Million for each of us. I'm gonna try my best, but most people would get their *** whipped for that kind of money."

No doubt, Jake Paul's public personna and behavior is easy to despise, but, it's his schtick and he's already worth over $ 100M, so that sh*t does sell. I'm no fan of his, because he really knows how to get under people's skin, but I can separate who he portrays himself to be and who he actually is. He's like Hulk Hogan, or the Boz or anyone who gets trapped in their public image which is different that who they may really be.

If you watched his interview after the fight, he was complimentary to Anthony, thanked the fans and was all around humbled. Anthony was a -1200 favorite and Jake was a +600 underdog, so the result was expected and this would happen anytime Paul fights a real professional fighter. For some reason, idiots are still gonna pay to watch that circus.

I've seen Paul fight Tyson and a few other tomato cans and I always want him to get KO'd, so last night was ridiculous and most everyone got what they wanted. It did become an embarrassment early as Paul was on his knees so many times. It just adds to the show. He's just a guy people love to hate.

I totally agree with all of that! The fight was exactly what everyone was hoping for - a lot of fun. I think almost everyone was unanimously saying after the fight that JP deserved a lot of credit for even getting in the ring. Everyone can say "I'd let AJ punch me in the face for $90M" but that's a hell of a lot easier to say than to do. I'm very interested to watch any Anthony Joshua fights going forward, I didn't know him but he's a well spoken and thoughtful guy.

Yes, most people will agree with the Paul schtick as long as it makes millions, as if that is the point of life. It is our culture I guess...be a scumbag, but if it gets you power, wealth, young woman, money...it must be good. A lot of people complain that AI is going to take over our art, history, sports...but our culture is so trashy to the core that it doesn't really matter. There was nothing of substance in that fight...everybody knew it, might as well have been fake.
