Based on last couple of games, ED starts pretty strong (up on Hertford in 3rd, close with Clinton at half) but then things go south quickly.
I haven't seen JK this year but know they like to sling it around, but based on stats it looks like teams have had more success in running the ball on ED than in prior years. Certainly not the type of defenses they have had in recent years when they were lights out versus the run and suspect against the pass.
ED has definitely played better competition so far and will be playing at home so that might be worth something. JK gave up 50 to Midway but Midway might be better at being able to throw than what ED has shown based on stats. This potentially could be a playoff elimination game for the loser given the remaining schedules for both.

Given the horrible performance JK just showed last week and the fact ED will get every call known to mankind I’ll say JK has zero chance in this game.
You will know you are in trouble when the Refs come out wearing ED shirts and hats. And instead of a whistle they give a panther Growl ....

It’s not a excuse both teams are not good at football and refs love ED. Especially at ED. ED has the edge in this. If it was at JK I would say we have an edge because at least then it would be a fair game. Ask anyone who regularly has to play at ED. Home cooking at its finest. Another tigger beatdown is coming. ED isn’t as good as years past but jk is horrible and I love it! I’m pretty sure the tiggers will go winless in the conference this year. The only thing that could be better than that is if Spring Creek was still in the conference to beat them down as well! Go Panthers!!
ED stopped Clinton a few times at the line of scrimmage, but when Clinton's backs got into the secondary the couldn't be caught. Good post BTF.

But I pose a question, if ED ALWAYS gets ALL the calls like you two whine about...how haven’t we won a SC yet? In your minds, the refs control the game...so ED should go undefeated and win ‘ships every year, right? You two are very amusing.
I went back and reviewed the play by play of our game AT EAST DUPLIN. ED had more flags than we did. The ED refs must REALLY like us, OR they just dont like the other ECC Teams. I can understand them not liking you, There is just something about you guys that Pi$$es everyone off .......

According to you, East Duplin makes all referee decisions so....you already had the answer.
They usually take the top officials from across the state. I hope that helps, since someone has to give a facetious answer to a general question.
ED has refs stored in a glass case on their back hall that has a huge neon green label that reads....

I like what someone said previously and it's very possible that jk could go winless in conference play this year.
I would never have imagined going winless in conference! It's time for a staff change over, I mean Coach Clark is a good coach but he has a terrible staff behind him!! Community support has completely disapeared for the $ making sports Football and Basketball! Never seen kids/parents trying to find ways to change districts to attend E. Duplin and WRH! Something has to get done immediately! Smh
I definitely agree that SOME, not all of the staff needs to be changed. JK football has been in a rough place and I think Clark new what he was getting into when he took this job. I honestly don’t know what has happened. But we are basically putting a JV team out there every Friday night. Team is full of freshmen and sophomores. Used to we had big fast kids who were absolute head hunters out on the field, who were hungry to win football games and that was lost somewhere. Kids are soft as toilet paper these days. I think Clark has a vision and realizes the kids are out there but it takes more than a head coach to get a program back on its feet. Parents need to be harder on these kids. IMO boys in Warsaw and Kenansville should realize how important football is by the time they get to 3rd grade. It’s going to take time but I’m going to be patient and see what Clark is going to be able to do I the next 3 years.
Simmons has ED by 19. 2 out of 3 people in JD news picked ED. The only common opponent we have is Richlands. ED beat Richlands 26-7 and JK beat Richlands 36-15. Both coming off of loses that hurt last week. I know ED wishes they had played better against Clinton and JK knows Midway is not 30 points better than them. Other than when we beat WRH nothing is better than watching us beat ED. Hope both teams stay safe. ED should have the advantage but anything can happen on Friday night.

Let me just say this now... the James Kenan coaching staff has ZERO class. I have never seen LAW ENFORCEMENT called on the field because of a unruly coach. And then he calls our head coach onto the field in a taunting manner...that is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable.
