Jamestown received 2016-17 VHSL Wells Fargo Cup for 4A

Amazing as bad as their football team has been Jamestown was awarded as the top athletic school in 4A in Virginia. Blacksburg won in 3A. Success in basketball, swimming, volleyball, tennis and boys track and girls softball lead the way.
Football driven Lafayette was 19th. As I am not the AD, and my interest beyond football is minimal no concern here. But all out Congrats to neighbor Jamestown. BTW, Warhill was 13th in 3A.

I've noticed that Jamestown consistently seems to have lots of good teams in....well basically, almost everything besides football. I saw their boys basketball team in the state quarterfinals here in Salem back in March. The Eagles had a very good team. I think Salem finished tenth or eleventh in 4A, with football being the only Spartan team to win the whole ball of wax.
