you should also note that johns pleaded guilty, while dontae went to trial.

you're comparing apples to oranges.

Dontae is out of jail and reports from friends in Clinton says he cuts yards for a living. What a waste!

A.) was caught IN THE ACT OF SELLING THE ****. B.) was in the passenger seat of a drug dealer's car. A.) gets 1 year; B.) gets 30 years. So yeah, you're right. It's apples and oranges.

the comparisons stop there, especially when you're trying to compare the sentences. plus, dontae didn't get 30 years and johns didn't get just 1. you also don't know the amounts involved.

but i get it - you think coke dealers should be slapped on the wrist.
ETA - you also have to consider that johns may have (and given the plea deal, likely) rolled on his source.

A friend of mine who went to high school with him saw him at the gas station in Clinton getting gas. Dontae told him that he was just getting off work from cutting grass and he had to get home by a certain time.
