You may not like how I go about saying it, but concerning Jamont's decision, it's not that close of an argument. He may luck out and still make something of himself, but he clearly made the wrong decision. It's not really an opinion thing. It's obvious. Hell you can type his name into google and all that pops up are commentaries about how bad that decision was. So if speaking the truth makes me stupid, then so be it.<div>
</div><div>As for my anger over his comments, it's really about respect. Jamont is able to get paid like he's getting paid because Stans gave him the keys to the team and let him showcase himself. Jamont's the one who has a bad attitude and makes bad decisions, despite his obvious talent. I'm not big on stabbing people in the back who are loyal to me. Especially in a tough time for Stans when he needs support.. like now. Maybe you guys roll like that. Not me. </div><div>

convinced me with this post. I typed "Jamont Gordon" into google and the first 1000 sites linked stated that he was an idiot. I guess you're right. Someone leaving school where they make no money and live in a town of about 20,000 to go to a town of a few million and make 6 figures is definitely and dubmass. You win.

First off dumbass, it's not obvious that he won't do **** with himself. That's just something a bitter fan will say instead of wishing him the best. If he really ends up blowing all of the money and not properly investing it while he has the chance before his playing days are over then maybe he deserves that fate, but right now I don't see how anyone even as stupid as you can have a hard time seeing that he's doing well for himself.<div>
</div><div>Secondly, it doesn't mean **** if a coach gives a player the opportunity to play or not. What none of us were able to see is if they had a good relationship to begin with. Just because you bring someone on your team and let them play doesn't mean you've earned that players respect. If Stans wasn't able to command any of the players respect then that just goes to show even more that his weakness can be detrimental to the program because of that fact.</div>

The glaring thing about your posts is that you keep suspiciously avoiding naming that "European" "town of several million." It's not some hip spot in Italy or Greece. It's dam Russia. R-U-S-S-I-A. Russia blows. Period. There is absolutely nothing cool about Russia. It sounds about as much fun as going to play ball in China.

You mean like Mario Austin "doing well" ?? Or like Eric Dampier "doing well"? <div>
</div><div>I realize that Gordon is no Dampier, but he certainly could have been a Jameer Nelson type who worked his way into the end of the first round by staying for his senior year and making some noise.</div>

I'm sure if he still wants to make it to the NBA then that just means he'll have to work that much harder, but at this point in time I highly doubt that he's too upset about his financial standings. Is that really so hard for you to understand?

obvioius from this response that you're pretty sheltered and close-minded. Now I know for a fact you do live in some ****-*** town like Walthall. I'm sure your idea of living it up is hitting up your local Wal-Mart and going to Sonic for happy hour.

so nothing about his decision was wrong.

He was a very good college player. But he is too slow to be an NBA PG, and he cant shoot well enough to be an NBA SG

And now he is making 6 figures and bangin some hot Russian *** while getting to play a game for a living. I'd say his life is probably pretty damn good these days.

I've traveled to Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and Costa Rica (not Eurpean, mind you). You are right, though, never been to Russia. And won't ever be going to Russia. Where all have you visited among these trendy European cities you so quickly speak of? My personal favorite is Rome. Not a big fan of Paris. What about you?

I fell for it. Good one DS. You got me. Driving up the traffic on SPS by inventing such an incredibly ridiculous character. Well played.</p>

He had no chance at being a 1st rounder- none...zero. So he left college a year early to go make 100K+ a year. Had he stayed at State one more year, thats one less year he would have made 100K+. I'd say he made a damn smart decision- even without a degree.

no i think you @mstateglfr win the dumbest comment of the week award by bashing Ronald Reagan..

Yet another that apparently can't see that he was nothing close to the revised version the machine has turned him into.
Come on, this is supposed to be void of politics. I made a mistake of adding to that thread, not because I can't back up everything I said about him(I can, it's easy), but because my views of fiscal conservatism and social liberalism are wildly unpopular with both sides of the aisle and especially with 'Reagan Conservatives'...whatever the hell that actually is. I have always imagined a Reagan Conservative as someone that espouses minimal government while growing it...you know, since that is what the real Reagan did.
Yeah, I am crazy for not nutting one off to those results, aren't I?

Every single thing that I have said about him can be backed up. Everything. That must kill anyone that is able to critically think and still guzzles over his presidency. I have grown to honestly doubt there are many around who are able to actually hold a conversation about him. Most are only able to say 'you are a dumb ***' without any ability to actually defend Reagan's perplexing record.

I like how in your mind, some guy's racist ignorant comment is worse than me saying Reagan isn't nearly as great as revised history has made him.

Posting that someone else is racist doesn't make you racist. You might feel I'm uninformed or misguided, but there is nothing racist about the statement. You're a freakin uneducated redneck that has no clue what racist means. </p>

that Stans kept Kirby at bay while JG was @ MSU. JG's physical talent led to many wins, but his lack of mental discipline led to a number of losses. Enough that I'd have benched him for a game or five. The best play he ever made was when he whipped a crosscourt pass to Ben Hansbrough, who was fouled on the shot and sank three FT's with no timeleft to send the game into OT at SC. (I wish he'd have done that against Memphis in the second round of the NCAA tourney.)

Then there's this end of game sequence, where JG and team (white jerseys) decided not to play the last 0.06 seconds:

When JG had the ball in close games, it was a crap shoot as to what he would do. His physical presence was so much, but his I got to do it all caused a lot of anxious moments. To tell the truth I was kinda glad he was gone.
