Yep, they don't buy the "diversity is a strength" BS.
Diversity is a strength as long as there is a unifying ethic and goal. Diversity without unity of ethic and goal leads to division, division to suspicion, suspicious to anger, anger to violence, violence to chaos. Welcome to America!

That sounds good, in theory, but I don't know how applicable that is to the real world. Human nature is tribalistic and as the numbers equalize between different cultural groups within a population then the tension rises. This is why places with an overwhelming cultural majority like Japan, and S. Korea have relatively little internal strife and in places that are actively seeking diversity (I'm looking at you Western countries) the tensions are approaching a boiling point.

Japan also has universal healthcare. Should we copy that too or just the things that keep foreigners out?

There is more than violent tendencies and open sexuality that makes America a special place.

That's why there was very limited immigration allowed bwtween 1925-1965 so that previous immigrants could assimilate. We need the same thing now.

How many people are ever turned away from a hospital emergency room in the US?

Exactly, immigration without assimilation is colonization...period. And too much immigration of any kind legal/illegal is cultural suicide by replacement.

Someone inform Cooper that communism is a failed ideology, and a bloody failure at that.

You mean like the late 1800s all the way up through the 1960s when immigrants from all over Europe came here and a large part of our country's manufacturing and infrastructure was developed, one of the primary things that has made this country great?

Have you ever heard the term "melting pot?"

I'll be darned, who'd have thought that Europeans would fit in and assimilate to a Western country. Do you understand WHAT Western Civilization is?

Read my previous post, immigration from 1925-1965 was severely limited to allow assimilation. Those are the facts. We need to do the same thing now. We are not obligated to take on the rest of the worlds failed state residents.

You missed this? Big hubabaloo here.

I choose very un-wisely at times it seems. First lasted 17 years, but she cheated and decided she didn't want to continue. #2 is now 8 years in.

I've been married the second time 20 years, there are times when we both would like to put the other in a melting pot![laughing]
