Today was further evidence that it can be learned and properly executed in less than a year.

Campbell is way ahead of the curve but it can be done quicker than Croom insists it does.

this is the 3rd year of his NFL career of which he can devote 100% of his time.

Campbell ran the WCO his senior year of college. And the offenses he ran prior to Zorn's arrival were based in the WCO.

Never mind all that, didn't you read the interview Gene did? We no longer run the WCO.

He told us it takes four years to learn but stopped running it two years ago.

that Zorn brought in with him. Campbell said it himself after the game that it has been difficult learning all of the details of it.

Croom tells Gene we run a good bit of spread offense, but he tells Bob Davie before he will run the spread offense? Im not sure on the exact quote, but it was something like that.

Also, Im assuming the QB controversy is over now, right? Carroll doesn't sniff the field again this year absent an injury Im pretty sure.

that'll end your confusion. The man is all over the place from week to week (oh what the hell am I saying, he's all over the place from minute to minute sometimes).

As for the QB "controversy," I have little doubt that with Lee now getting more coaching from McCorvey, it'll just be a matter of weeks before he's right back down there at Carroll's level. Remember, Carroll looked OK in his first couple of games before McCorvey's coaching did its magic.

I still don't understand why he didn't get the ball more. I really think a power running game with Dixon was a good gameplan when MSU did it.

Retire before he runs the spread... two game later throwing in some spread elements. Carroll is our guy.. two games later Lee is the starter. Didn't want to do anything to turn the ball over before halftime in LSU game.... says he has confidence in his offense and will continue to run it. Be good be gone? yea right. Wont be embarassed by the teams play anymore? hahaha Wont read about our players misconduct in the paper? I almost hate picking up the sports page in the offseason when it relates to MSU football.

Crooms says crap to just shut the fans up for a short time till the next screwup. That is all he is when he is in front of a microphone or in front of a reporter.. strictly damage control. I guarentee you if you ask him about some of the spread that he put in during the LSU he will deny it wholeheartdly deny that any of the spread was run.

that we've been running that for four years. It has gotten comical.

To be fair to Croom (why the hell not?) he may have been talking about a different variation of the spread. I don't know if he was talking about the Texas Tech version, the UF version, or what. He probably should have clarified... aw hell, he doesn't know what he's talking about.
