It seems like they've gone out of their way to get crap musicians lately that pretty much only girls like.

They could pay a band like The Hold Steady half of what Jason F'n Mraz charges, everybody in the crowd would be pumped to hear it, and it would probably be a great show.

Same story with GirlTalk when everyone was making fun of that. Obviously, there are a lot of bands I would rather see, but they could have done worse.

what the hell, let's have some more music-snobbery.

Jason Mraz is actually quite talented, tons of people love his music, the WOMEN will go crazy over his *** because of songs like:

I'm Yours

The Remedy

and a personal favorite The Geek in the Pink (skip to the 1 minute mark to hear the song and skip the tune-up)

Notice all these are live performances, so he's not autotuned to hell and back. This guy is good.

I think he will be good. he's playing with Dave Matthews a few weeks before he is in Starkville so that should say something for him.

Best in a while. I wouldn't compare this to Justin Beiber or GirlTalk- Jason Mraz makes pretty good music.

I could not, however, sit through an entire set of this:

I'm pretty indifferent to his music. I'm never gonna go buy any or pay to go to his concerts, but I'm not gonna whine about it if I hear it. It's not bad. It's not good. It's just tunes that are gonna get a ton of people out in the Cotton District, which is what they want.

over there. I watched the Weezer concert on Palladia and was wondering what the hell was going on.

I've learned never to get my hopes up.

I would assume the strategy is to draw mass quantities of chicks to get the guys to show.

Mission accomplished.

Fixed it for you. Don't blame John Mayer if he has different priorities with his music than you would. I don't like the guy's music, but I'll bet the line up of non-celebrity chicks he's bagged is just as much if not more impressive than the celebrity ones he's had (Jennifer Love-Hewitt, Jennifer Anniston, Jessica Simpson, etc.). That's clearly his goal with his music, to sing the pants off girls. It works for him, and I can't say I never used his music to help me get the pants off a girl or two as well.
