That mentality has changed especially for running backs. The NFL is cutthroat as hell and contracts aren’t guaranteed. If he were my son, I would have told him he’s making a wise move.

I would have told him the wise move is to get a (real) degree on UofL’s dime, for the same reasons you stated above. His education can be the foundation of a successful, lifelong career. Good luck Javian!

Players need to do what they feel is best for them. There is a cause and effect to all this player movement. Fans become disengaged.

I think college sports is at a tipping point that was accelerated by COVID.
