The days of the elite student athletes are behind us. He may be a great student, but athletics is now the primary focus in most if not all sports with NlL and the transfer portal.

My gut says it being this close to Bo’s announcement that it will be Iowa. Just brace for it guys.
As much as I want PSU to dominate, and believe me I do, Bassett to Iowa and (possibly) Jax to Okie State is exciting as a wrestling fan.

Or, he saw how fake people can be and it cleared up his mind about who to trust with his career. I don't know Jax at all, but he seems to keep his own counsel and relies on his family for guidance. They all seem clear headed.
I know he isn't coming to PSU, just like I knew Bo wasn't going to PSU. So I can dispassionately call balls and strikes. Good luck at 11am Eastern guys.

I think it means they are both ready to get the process over and move on with their focus on this season

I think it's OSU. I also think Jax making his decision after Bo is a good thing for you guys. In a lot of ways Jax and his dad kinda took a backseat at McCort because of the born and bred Johnstown kid. Jax should take a backseat to no one. He's that damn good and in my opinion, if you get him you're getting the best kid in the class.
Also feel Howard Forrest didn't get enough credit for his coaching because Bill got it all.A lot of people didn't even know Howard was the head coach at McCort during the time Bill was suspended. Still hoping PSU can get him but looking like that's not happening. DT may have won this battle..

Edit: I found it. Recruiting kids from out of state illegally. Team got a two year ban back in 2021.

Jax was one of them. I may be mistaken but I think the one that got him in trouble was actually a western PA kid.
Well he did have some baby fat that needed to be burned off in the sauna.
Bergen is a NJ school so I'm sure they have different rules or even no rules when it comes to recruiting. But yeah...there are schools in PA doing it. Getting away with it depends on how you do it and who you know. Lol. Bill bragging about all these kids they were bringing in didn't help his case much. And doing it all over social media was probably his dumbest move..

It cost Bo being a 4 time PA state champ but I'm sure it helped build the Bo Bassett brand even more. Possible that's what was most important to them..
Honestly it kinda makes me more confident with DT just being there. I assume he was there to see Jax and hopefully lock him in.
