Please be our new coach. Lol

Nice hearing him talk positively about the Cards on commentary. Not that our team is giving him much reason to do so.

He is good. However I hate when the former coaches start gaslighting everyone during blowouts and saying how the coach is doing the rights things, the team is well coached, blah, blah. Louisville fans know basketball. This ain’t it.
Right! A little over the top. Did not want to break the coaches code on national TV. No telling what he’s really thinking.

I was reluctant to share this, but evidenced by the OP, I am sure by now that others are hearing the reports about efforts to bring Jay to UL.

While I was told this several weeks ago, but I was also told that it is way too premature to suggest it will happen. Just hearing that sincere efforts were proceeding forward was most encouraging.

I also heard from someone today who talked personally to another coaching candidate when Payne was hired. The descriptor “**** show” is close to the remark from that coach.

Looks like we can see things pretty well from the outside…

That was prior to the ncaa decision being handed down and, before a president was hired.

Jay is only 61 he still has some good years left would love to get him.
He’d be awesome - no doubt. That said, I think his lack of interest in dealing with NIL and re-recruiting your roster every year is what drove him into the easy money of color commentary.

Plus, he was making 6.5M at Villanova - I don’t see UofL committing that type of money for anyone.

I was at the game yesterday. In my opinion, UL has one player that would get major minutes at UK, that’s Ellis. Payne just needs some time to get talent. He can recruit and given time, he’ll be successful at UL.

Yeah, we'll pass on taking advice from the litter box crowd. Payne learned from Calipayme and we see how well cal does with a top 5 recruiting class year after year. Nobody does less with more than cal.. And no way in hell KP ever recruits at the level he does.

Its been said before if he were a competent HC UofL would have at least 5-6 wins at this point. UofL hasnt even been competitive against any P5 schools. I can certainly see a top talent wanting to play at UofL, but not with Payne in the a$$ as the HC

It has been well documented that because of Heird's previous relationship with Wright that Josh uses Jay as a mentor and seeks advice from him not to court him for our next basketball coach....

I wish that fixed the problems. It’s taken five years to make this mess.

Brohm will hopefully start the slow climb back.
Situations are worlds apart. Football started bad, was ranked late and finished 8-5. Brohm kept the class glued together, adding solid xfers, and what appears to be a decent looking schedule. I have no idea of what to even fathom basketball looks like going into next year.

Bwaaahahahahahahahahaha. That's hilarious. True about Ellis, but the rest is laughable. And that's what makes it worse is that UK isn't even that good and we have 1 player that would play minutes. Michigan and Yale are UKs 2 best wins.

I was replying to @BPGhost 's remark about the NCAA ruling and a new Prez.

I mentioned Brohm as a positive since he's broadly supported and will bring back fans. I don't disagree that basketball is a huge problem in large part compounded by our finances...
