This site and TOS are both predicting that he is going to Notre Dame. Bummer, I really liked his father back when I was Rutgers student. I know that this class is promising but Gould and Bellamy are two players that I really wanted on campus.

losing a recruiting battle against Notre Dame isn't surprising because top tier recruits continue to see Notre Dame as a elite college football program.

I can deal with these because I always expect an uphill recruiting battle against the traditional names. The ones that sting are when you are in on a guy early who may be a little under the radar, you offer, he verbally commits but flips after a NB or PSU comes calling after losing out on one of their Plan A recruits.

Legacies prior to Schiano probably didn’t have the greatest experience and were overmatched in many games. So our lack of success with them isn’t unexpected. Kids who played for Schiano know that Schiano is as good as it gets.

I hate ND, but they have the easiest path to the college football playoff of anyone . That’s why the sometimes end up there and always get throttled.

Future Cast had him 100% to RU for months, man were they wayyyyyy off , 12.5 % is not worthy of a RU future cast in my opinion , you would think people in the know had an idea some time ago that the door was barely open , oh well.

That's cause Alex doesn't have futurecast powers anymore otherwise it would've been changed a while ago.

I wouldn’t fault any hardcore Catholic kid for dreaming of playing at notre dame. Didn’t you guys see Rudy?

Biggest mistake ever - letting my younger daughter see Rudy! Probably would have gone if accepted, was accepted by St. Mary’s but distance dissuaded her. Wound up at Nova

Both times they made it they went 12-0 playing a tough schedule and beating 3-4 top 25 teams. How is that the easiest path? Yes they lost to Alabama and Clemson the years they both won their National Championships, but do you really think anyone would have beat Bama last year? I don’t. And the year Clemson won they beat Alabama. Got to give credit where it’s dues.

They went 12-1 last year and got annihilated by Clemson when Lawrence came back . Every time Notre dame gets to the playoff they get blown out . You could argue Clemson has an easier path , but Clemson proved they belong

Notre Dame appeared in the College Playoff System in the 2018/2019 and 2020/2021 seasons. Each time, ND had to use the ACC to help secure a spot in the playoffs.

Here was ND schedule from the 2018/2019 playoff team:
Michigan, Ball State, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Stanford, Va. Tech, Pitt, Navy, Fla. State, Northwestern, Syracuse, and USC.

We know Michigan is more hype than substance. USC is similar to Michigan these days. Northwestern was a solid team (8-5), but no way good enough to win. ND's first challenge of the season was in the playoffs against Clemson is we saw what happened. Not even close.

Here was ND schedule from the 2020/2021 playoff team:
Duke, South Florida, Fla. State, Louisville, Georgia Tech, Pitt, Boston College, Syracuse, North Carolina, and Clemson.

UNC was a good team but madly inconsistent at times during the season. However, ND did beat Clemson when Clemson was without their star QB. In the return game, against Clemson, that missing QB led Clemson to an easy win over ND. ND has been a fraud since the later 80s.

ND belongs in the category of frauds along with Michigan, Texas, Miami, and Nebraska. Yet, every year, the pundits claim these teams will return to glory, and they sh*t the bed.

Futurecast also had Gould 100% to Penn State for a long time. It's generally an educated guess at best.

We know that most committments stick. I think when the faxes come in we are going to be happy with the class. No school gets them all. This is going to be up with the highest ranked classes in RU history, if not the highest.

Agree . But it would have been nice to get a legacy kid in Bellamy, like we got with the melton’s . These kids still use faxes to sign ? Hopefully hobbs has the ink and paper budgets in good standing.

Mr Twister, I guarantee that no children or brothers of Rutgers football players will be committing to Florida Gulf Coast Community College Football this year.

While I hope Bellamy changes his mind or transfers back, Rutgers Football is doing a great job in legacy recruiting. Not only are we number 5 overall in recruiting, we currently have FOUR sets of brothers. I doubt there is another Power Five program that has that much . In addition, we are recruiting more relatives from the Turay/Toure families.

Yea, he was offsides.
Apparently the guy is an absolute tool as well. Was on a planning committee for a corporate sponsored client event. We were bringing in multiple speakers over a 3 day event, working with our in house event planner. the committee asked for a list of approved speakers to narrow down the list. 3 names came back as persona non grata, he was one of them. The other 2 were toxic within the Wall St community so I understood but he seemed out of place. I asked the event planners what the deal was. They were seasoned vets. They said he was the most obnoxious and demanding person they have ever dealt with, and they have dealt with past presidents and leaders of industry.

We also lead in the hot mom category.
