JC, Dean:

Seeing how the college football season is upon us, I think it an appropriate time to ask what your projection for FAU is this year. I recall both of you claimed Kiffin was going to build a superpower at FAU after compiling an underwhelming 7-6 record at Tennessee and failing miserably at USC. I would also like to remind you Kiffin's overall record at USC was an unremarkable 28-15. At FAU he has fared little better, going 16-10.

Similarly, I'd like to point you two in the direction of the trend which develops after Kiffin takes over a football program: It begins with a flash of early success, but follows an immediate and unsustainable downward trajectory. This is the kind of track which indicates someone is triumphant with the previous coach's athletes, but will eventually send him into the unemployment line.

I am not sure what lay ahead for FAU and Kiffin, but I do know outside of OSU only four teams on FAU's schedule had winning records last year.

He had a pretty good recruiting class last year, relatively. Brought in 32 kids, some 5.6 and 5.7 three stars. Good enough to win most games on their schedule. Clearly not a high major head coach, but maybe he will do okay at this level. Thought it was classless to leave Tennessee the way he did.
