So ZT goes on Sat. By then we can forget the SEC tourney...maybe the coaches are ready to go on vacation!
In my opinion, they need to be placed on permanent vacation immediately after the last out of the season. The way that they have utilized ZT and buried the baseball program into the ground is inexcusable. Kentucky baseball deserves better.

If UK wins one game and the other teams lose, they are in.

If UK wins one game and the other teams win, they are in.

If UK gets swept, they are out.

So if they win either of the first two games, you want ZT available on Tuesday to pitch.

If everyone gets swept UK is also in, correct?

UK has to win more games than USC this weekend. If they share the record, than the tie breaker goes to the gamecocks.

Only if it's a two way tie. If it is a 3 way tie then UK gets the tiebreaker because we have a better record against better common opponents. For instance, if everyone wins one game then it is the best record against league leading Vanderbilt. Everyone else got swept while UK would have one win.

Here's the way I understand it:

3 way tie UK is in
2 way tie with South Carolina UK is out
2 way tie with Alabama UK is in

It boils now to W-L record. All 3 teams are 7-20. So if all 3 get swept UK is in.
UK is in a good spot as long as Bama and Carolina have the same record.

The reason Carolina woul win a 2-way tie with UK is Carolina took the series 2-1
Bama has the tiebreaker vs Carolina as they beat Carolina, 2-1

Since Vandy swept both Carolina and Bama, 3-0 if Vandy sweeps UK, the Cats would win the tiebreaker on the basis of how thhey did vs Arkansas

I can see where pitching Thompson on Saturday would have benefits and drawbacks. The benefit would be if we win one of the first two and the others both lose the first two. Then we are guaranteed a spot and don't need to pitch Thompson and he can go in game 1 of Hoover.

The drawback is that we may lose both the first two games and we have to have a win, or cannot risk the others getting one win, and so we have to have him pitch Saturday. So, he likely won't be available to pitch again for us until probably Thursday, and we likely don't make it that far. If we need to win the series, then pitching him on Saturday isn't as helpful.
