Looked him up. Smack talk should be reserved for people who actually start. Not from special teams players. I hope your family has money to pay for school.

He was a true freshman last year, and ran for over 400 yards.

He's a scat back and a pretty good one. He won't technically be the starter this fall, but he's in the 3 man rotation with Bolden and Davis at tailback, and he's our No. 1 scat back.

Saying Scott doesn't start would be like saying LaDarius Perkins doesn't start. He may not technically start, but the guy is a pretty big part of what you do.

I don't have any questions that y'all will be able to run the ball, Hootie always runs the ball well, but he just put his scholly on the backs of your secondary.

They're very similar. I'm going to cop out and say it's too early to tell. Scott was a little better in the average yards per carry category than Perkins last year, but they play in different styles of offense, and both were only freshmen last year. I think they're both going to be very good before it's all said and done.

If you asked me which one I would take, right now you could put their names in a hat and I'd be happy to take either one.

For some reason Mullen ran Perkins up the middle for 75% of last season. When he did run him outside, his average yards per carry were much higher. This guy is 3rd string and he is talking smack. Our 3rd punter says we are going to win.

Scott - 5 catches for 25 yards, long of 13, 0 TDs
Perkins - 9 catches for 247 yards, long of 87, 3 TDs

I think Scott has a chance to be a decent back, but so far you can't even compare him to Perkins. Perkins is a much stronger back and has proven that he can deliver.

<span> <span> <div><span><span>For you to even insinuate that Jeff Scott is close Perkins is insulting. I am shocked you would even go there considering the show Perkins put on in your own kitchen last year. Jeff Scott?couldn't?hold Perkins jock if he handed it to him.?</span></span></div><div><span><span>

Yeah...I like Perkins as much as the next guy, but to say that Scott is nowhere near him is just not correct. I would defend Perkins if this situation was reversed and Scott had a two monster games to end the year. Key being, they are both scat backs and capable of the big play.

That being said, I'd still rather have Perkins.

I forgot that if I don't say everything Ole Miss sucks and everything MSU is the best EVER I get **** on. I don't think it is unreasonable to say that both are good backs with a lot of potential.

Also to the guy linking Perkins in the Egg Bowl I would like to note that Jeff Scott never had the opportunity to play against the pile of **** defense we put on the field last year, or Michigan's historically bad defense either. They're both going into their second years. They're both good. I like both of them but apparently I didn't suck Perkins's penis enough.

JeffScottis better than Perkins.Never mindhe had worse stats, touched the ball less, is slower and nobody outside of Lafayette county knows who he is. Man I was way off.<div>
</div><div>I'mwaiting for the thread where youcompareMackey and Relf. Could you be any farther removed from reality? Jeff Scott played against plenty of bad defenses last year yet still had worse stats. I guess here is where you tell me Jacksonville State had aironcurtain for a defense.

Hardly! AndI have to come to Bruiser's aid - a little. Everyone over here is physc'd out over the 'skull dragging' MSU gave Ole Miss last year. A little dose of reality - UM fielded the worst defenseIN IT'sHISTORY last year. AndI may stand corrected, but Michigan, statistically, was in the same neighborhood. Scott would benefit by keeping his mouth shut, but the difference in the two teams - MSU & UM - the last two years was only a handful of players both ways.

-i guess we are still not there real rival and the game isnt that important
-devils advocate is we would probably want our players to believe in themselves too
-i would take perkins over scott due to proven recieving ability
-scott isnt a 3rd stringer, he's better than enrique davis and started 1 game pissing bolden off
-my vote for homeless man getting the scholly is rebel jacob, no way his crazy *** has a house

Thats it, the whole thread has been resonded to...

but is this any less reasonable than Dan Mullen professing that <font style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ffff00">cow college </font>"is never losing to this team again" after the Egg Bowl last year? If the game were played again right now, you guys would certainly have an advantage. But never????? Like, never ever????? Now THAT's a bold statement. Unless we assume that he's going to cut and run before the year comes when we can field a team that can actually stop his run game. My hunch is that both Jeff Scott and Dan Mullen will have to eat their words, Scott first. And to keep you guys from hating on me, we suck.Ole Misswill only win one game this year(S.Illinois), Nutt will be fired, replaced with Sly Croom, and we willreceive the death penalty asa result of C.J.Landrovergate. A decade or more of ****** footbally, and the SEC finally cuts us loose(how's that for optimism).

so this year"......That's a given.........However, you didn't hear Mullen say, "We're never going to lose to Ole Miss again and if we do, I'll quit".......No, Scott put terms in his statement......

And the difference is Mullen was talking to his team in the locker room when when said that and someone had camera in there. Scott told this to the media

Not to mention that Mullen was making a speech to HIS TEAM in the lockerroom postgame after winning the Egg for his second time in two tries. He tells his team, like most any coach would, we don't plan to ever lose to that team etc etc etc and there is a camera in the lockerroom that catches it. I doubt Mullen would intentionally go public with that statement, but maybe he would...he's that confident. Also, he didn't put terms on it like Scott did. And I promise you, Scott will lose his cred this year because UM won't win the game. It just won't happen.

And oh...just so you guys can prepare otherwise, Dan's not going anywhere anytime soon. We do agree on thing. I think you will have a new staff next year because if Nutt goes sub .500 and loses to State AGAIN, no buyout is gonna matter to Tobacco Money U.</p>

</div>I don't understand why these 17tard rebels can't understand this. They love to bring it up, and take it personally. They almost talk about it as much as Nutt talks about back to back cotton bowls, and his record against State while at Arkansas.
