Fluvanna County 3A (2-3, 0-2 Jefferson) @ #18 Charlottesville 4A (4-1, 2-0 Jefferson)
Homecoming for the Black Knights! We finally scheduled an opponent we might actually beat for hoco this year! The Black Knights defense really improved against Powhatan, only allowing 13 points and blocked a PAT. QB Sam Neale threw two interceptions last week, but this is a game where he can get his confidence up. Fluvanna is coming off a 21 point performance against Orange, and is looking to improve here. Still, I see no problems for the Black Knights as they roll at home before their last 4 games, with Albemarle, Western, Louisa and Monticello. Charlottesville 58-12.

Albemarle 5A (1-4, 0-2 Jefferson) @ Orange County 5A (3-2, 1-1 Jefferson)
Albemarle is really trying to find themselves, and it's already Week 7. They have had an extremely tough schedule so far, and it doesn't get much better going to a scrappy, underrated Orange squad. Orange QB Kenyon Carter has been on fire as of late, and his receivers have been playing great. On the other end, Albemarle is known for it's athletic safeties, so that is a big matchup to watch. Albemarle's offense, on the other hand, has greatly struggled, only averagin 16 point per game. That crowd in Orange will be rowdy, but Albemarle is going to want to prove themselves here. It's a real push for me, but I've got Orange 28-21 in OT.

Powhatan 4A (1-4, 1-1 Jefferson) @ #8 Louisa County 4A (5-0, 2-0 Jefferson)
Powhatan opened some eyes when they beat Western, but returned to expected form last week, falling to Charlottesville, 35-13. Still, they're going to be motivated again, they were only down by 8 at the half. Meanwhile, Louisa has been rolling. 41 ppg, and the seniors Whalen and Bell have been running the offense to near perfection. Brandon Smith has been playing great, and they are still on a mission after last year's disappointment. AND they're at home. Expect Powhatan to put up a fight, but Louisa still gets the W. Louisa 38-13.

#16 Western Albemarle 3A (1-4, 0-2 Jefferson) @ #8 Monticello 3A (5-0, 2-0 Jefferson)
The Mustangs impressed in their contender-pretender game against Albemarle, the offense lit up the Patriots solid D. This is the matchup of the two top QB's in the district with Western's Domeq and Monticello's Jarrell. So far, Jarrell has had the upper hand, he rushed for over 170 yards last week and 2 TDs, and threw for over 100 more yards and added 2 more TDs in the win over Albemarle. Western has been staggering ever since that nail-biter against Lord Botetourt. I think Western has just been on the wrong end of a lot of these games, but Monticello is very, very good this year. Monticello 35-28.
