Man, I really enjoy your stuff and appreciate your obvious passion for State. I can tell you're very intelligent and you love what you do. You put a lot of thought and time into your work, which is a trait other MSU site-writers should emulate. You've got a great future in this business. Keep up the good work.

After reading it, I myself thought, "wow I wish I had been the first to do something like that."
But then I thought about it a little more.
I finally decided that it would be worse for me to deceive Mr Short into believing that hehad any writing talent whatsoever. Furthermore, how bad would I feel if 5 or 10 years from now, I find out that Mr Short was still struggling with his sports coverage career solely because of the word of encouragement I gave him today. It might not only be his life that I had a hand in ruining, but the lives of his kids as well. That might be too much for me to bear.
