Anyone know what he's up to?Someone asked me what happened to him and all I can remember is that it seems he got hurt early this season and I haven't even heard him mentioned in months. Anyone know how bad the injury was and what his chances for recovery are?

Even though it was early September, I guess that means he's out for the rest of this season (assuming they make it to the Super Bowl). The consensus opinion on the Falcons fan sites seems to be that they'll draft a speed back to replace him, so he'll be a free agent after this season.

Hope Dallas or Houston pick him up so I can watch him without paying for Sunday Ticket.

He used to get a bad rap for being injury-prone LONG before he ever actually started missing games due to injury, though. Now he's finally lived up to the negativity, though: he missed six games last season from two concussions and a "hip pointer," and he's missed 14 games this season.

He did get a 2 year deal at 1.5 mil per year before the season. Bad luck with coaching changes doomed his short career. He did have some fabulous td's though.

They had the opportunity to dump him last year but didn't. Smith and Dimitroff always speak glowingly about his speed and him being a special home-run threat, etc.

But you're right--nobody ever figured out how to use him effectively. Even "professor Gadget" Mularkey ran Jerious up the middle most of the time when he was in the game. It made no sense.

Seems like they should just move him to slot receiver. He's got great hands, and he's most effective on screens out in space.

Worst thing about his injury is it seemed they finally figured out how to work him in on sweeps and as a slot receiver some this season. He'll probably retire, I doubt they keep him.
