I hate the Celtics but a team with Rondo, Allen, Garnett, Pierce, and Oneal is pretty stout. Not to mention the Celtics have a good bench. Things might not be so easy for the Miami Primadonnas.

the Bulls signed Boozer earlier this week and the Kicks (although still irrelevant) signed Stoudemire which really hurts Los Suns, those three teams will be very hard to beat barring injury once the playoffs start. I'm wondering if this is thebegining of a shift in power from the West to the East sans LA of course.

I like that move by the Celtics, with the window slamming shut on those vets Oneal may be enough to make them serious competitors again next season, they'll just flip the switch in the playoffs.

No matter, with those 3 in Miami it will be hard for them to lose a 7 game series, LBJ can take nights off in the playoffs now and Wade's team can still win.

you got 3 guys that want to be on the same team- i'm not seeing the problem???

As far as loyalty to Cleveland, ask Mike Brown and Danny Ferry about loyalty- best record 2 years in a row and get fired

Its just pretty damn unclassy to go through all this hoopla and do it on tv in an hour long special. If you want to leave fine, tell the cavs in private then hold a quick press conference with your new team in Miami.

One thing about Lebron, its obvious he's not the greatest nor will he ever be. Its wade's team and he's scottie pippen to dewayne wade's michael. Hands down Kobe is the best player active right now.

Of course he would have hated if Wade and Lebron would have wanted to join Kobe in L.A.

You don't get it do you? It is not the fact that leBron wanted to leave Cleveland. It is all this ******** with the tours of cities, the wining and dining, the ESPN special, etc. LeBron knew damn well he was going to Miami from the get go. This was all nothing but a sham for an attention ***** who wanted his ego stroked since he can't win a title.
If he had just signed a contract with Miami at the start I would not even care.

Before everyone annoints Miami as the best team in the NBA, remember that Wade is the only guy on the team with a ring and Kobe won more playoff games this year than Bosh has in his career. This is not the Dream Team playing Angola next season. There are alot of teams that will give the Heat fits.

Lebron never got recruited to college like the other players...so what if he wanted to be recruited a little? How is Lebron worse than a Scottie Hopson, Dee Bost, Kodi Augustus and the like?

the same people that didn't like Lebron to begin with. And this "one hour special" is just another ******** excuse to not like the guy along with the "well he doesn't speak to people in restaurants and sign autographs". When was the last time you heard of Jordan strking up conversations with people or going out of his way to sign autographs? Anyways like you said Coach there is nothing wrong at all with him going somewhere else, especailly somewhere he has a MUCH better chance to win. And Hammu I may be wrong, but where did you see that he took tour of cities? I thought that he met with teams in a place in Cleveland?

And has too big an ego to go to Miami. And would say he only cares about money not winning if he had stayed in Cleveland. There was no decision he could have made that someone wouldn't have spun to say something bad about him. Bottom line, I can't wait to watch this team, and if they pick up Mike Miller, watch out.

Are you shitting me OP4? No one has to spin this. Have you been under a rock? I have yet to see a national writerthat has anything good to say about LeBron right now and he has lost a ton of fans. Like I said, I don't care that he went to Miami because they are not going to win the title anyway. It is the way this all went down so he could have his ego stroked.

By the way OP4, you have repeatedly said that the Cavs are worse than the Nets without LeBron. Would you care to bet that the Cavs win less than 12 games next year?

and 98% of people are not bashing the decision. They're bashing how he handled it. Pretty much everyone agrees that he made the best basketball decision.

The Nets will have to have one of the biggest turnarounds in NBA history to even win 30 games. I do not get this Nets infatuation you have. Sure they had a couple of decent young players and got a new ownerbut they still lost 70 games and have thus far struck out with free agency (Outlaw is not a big signing). The East will be brutal next year and yes the Cavs will suck but not at the level of the Nets.

If Shaq returns to Cleveland, they will still have Mo Williams, Delonte West, Varejeo, and Jamison to go with him. Not great but still a 35 or so win team.

supposedly. The rumor is that's why the Cavs were trying to trade him a couple days ago. Colin Cowherd even said he was forbidden to talk about the story, but it's supposedly true.

And Shaq is 98% not going to be a Cav. It's possible he may end up with the Heat.

especially after what Kobe said in his press conference about him after winning the title this year- "I got one more than Shaq"

Shaq might be willing to play for a damn dollar to be on that team

Isn't that why Shaq went to play with LeBron in Cleveland? Worked out well didn't it?

I heard that about Delonte West and for the life of me I don't know why the Cavs did not get rid of him ASAP. You just don't bang the Superstar's mom.

can figure out that Shaq playing with those 3 guys would just make them that much harder to deal with

This is really bothering you- I love it

The glare off my 17mock replica Laker championship trophies is blinding me right now.

Shaq is an old man trying to chase a ring any way he can now. Even in his prime he had to have Kobe and Wade to cover for his crunch time free throw deficiencies so he could get a title.

I agree it will be the last one.......for at least 11 more months anyway. Kobe has more guts in his big toe than any of those three do in their whole body and he ain't losing to them.

On a more serious note: The Heat won't get past Chicago. They just signed Kyle Corver, Carlos Boozer, and maybe J.J. Reddick to go along with Deng, Noah, Rose, and the rest of an already solid team.

Your inconsistent views are laughable. Your ability to selectively cite situations to suit your opinion rivals Coach.

So Shaq is older and trying to get another ring. You act like thats somehow bad. Should he magically become younger? Of course not. Should he not try to pick a team where he will have a chance at another ring? Of course not.

And yet you knock him for doing something that any other elite player should do.

Then you knock him for needing an elite player playing with him to win titles. As if that is uncommon? Hardly. Jordan had a top 50 all time player who was a 7 time all star and in Pippen. Hell Jordan also had one of the best rebounders of all time in Rodman too.
Bird had Parish and McHale...BOTH being Hall of Famers.
Yet Shaq needing Kobe or LeBron is somehow a bad thing?
