I'm thinking this may have been his last time on the ballot.........</p>

He can still get in on the Veteran's Committee vote.

Yes, 100% agree with you. Ray Guy is a HOF punter. There is NO doubt about it. The real shame is that the people who are "experts" that vote on this kind of stuff don't realize how important ST's are part of the team.

Jerry Rice had the best moves of anyone who ever played. Not that fast or fluid in shorts, but when the uniform and pads were on all others were below him.

Hey, this might just describe The Real Deal too

Mardye McDole and the same size as Glen Young.

He played at Moor HS, and literally no one knew about him. I'm not even sure how Valley found him to be honest.

I also had heard that he was not interested in playing in the wishbone offense.

had Rice come to MSU, he may have never gone pro at all.
Over at the Valley, Totten was lighting it up all over the place with passing records, seems like, weekly. Scouts came to see Totten, but took Rice to the NFL.

Just my take.

Honestly, Dan would be foolish to not look at the small schools in this state. Donald Lee came from Maben and John Banks came from East Webster. Those are some great players from the Golden Triangle area alone.

Brandon Hill, Christian Holmes, and Jamerson Love may not win us very many recruiting championships, but I think all three of those guys are going to be good for us.

these guys pretty much slipped under the radar on the border wars thingy. Just glad that Banks is being utilized by the coaching staff.

Donald Lee showed out in one of the all-star games and garnered more attention from the pro scouts-Jack-ay certainly under utilized him
