The crowd wasn't as bad as it would have been in years in past. I think the new club seating has helped USM out big time. My stepfather & I were watching the game from underneath the overhang, and there were quite a few people under the <span style="text-decoration: line-through;">west</span> east side stadium bleacher.
Austin Davis's TD pass to DeAndre Brown was a thing of beauty. If USM had a pass rush/could defend the deep ball, the Eagles would be a C-USA contender this year.
Edit to add: Their Southern Miss Moment on the Jumbotron was their 42-14 win over MSU in 1980. The game was in Starkville (I was at the game), and the end zones... one side had <span style="color: rgb(153, 0, 0);">Bulldogs</span>; the other side <span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 0);">Eagles</span>.
